Seeking someone who could do a quick once-over on three short Torchwood fics for

torchwood_fest.

Two are under 1k, and third about 1.4k. They shouldn't need a lot of work, just a check for typos and to ensure they make sense to someone who isn't me *grins*

Is anyone else having problems accessing dreamwidth? I keep getting an immediate Gateway Time-out error message, no matter which browser I use, but my computer can't find any connectivity problems. =(

The Spring/Summer fest is now underway at

torchwood_fest - posting is still some time off, doesn't start until July 1st, so there's plenty of time to write something. The prompts are up and there are over a hundred to choose from; no need to claim prompts though, they're all open for anyone, all you need to do is write.

Prompts are here on LJ or here on dreamwidth - both lists are the same so take your pick.

BETA NEEDED

I'm also looking for one or more people willing to beta the fics I write for the Fest - so far I have one ready for looking over, so if anyone can spare the time, I'd be grateful. They'll probably all be on the short side, the first one is just over 1400 words. If you can volunteer, comment below or PM me =D

Prompting for the spring/summer fest at

torchwood_fest ends on May 13th, and so far there's almost zero interest. Come on, Torchwood fans, it doesn't matter whether you're a member of the community or not, just please stop by and leave some prompts. We can't have a fest without prompts, and no prompts also means no new stories for the readers among you to read. You don't need to commit to writing anything in order to leave prompts, just give us some ideas of fics you'd like to read!

Hello, friends! I'm seeking beta assistance for an as yet unknown number of fics for

torchwood_fest. So far I have one just under 2k ready for betaing, and there will be at least one more which I haven't started writing yet, but more likely two or three as I'd like to do the weekly prompts for the Fest as well.

If anyone can offer their services, basically to check I haven't made any silly mistakes or missed a typo or two, please either comment below or send a PM.

Is anyone else unable to access ff.net? When I try, I just get a message saying their security certificate has been revoked and denying me access - I post there daily, I have friends there who review my stories daily, I have fics I read there, and so may people have followed and favourited my stories, so now I'm freaking out that it's been taken away from me! I've tried on both windows internet explorer and google chrome, but neither will allow me to access the site =(

As some of my F-list know, I'm in the process of starting a new multi-fandom drabble community, with weekly prompts to inspire all those drabblers among us whose favouirite fandoms have no active drabble-specific community of their own.

Hello, my wonderful F-list, I come before you seeking assistance, if any of you lovely people can spare the time.

Both my dear friend

m_findlow and myself need betas for our latest

torchwood_fest fics, which have to be posted to the community by the end of the month, so there's not a lot of time left.

m_findlow's fic is around the 10,000 word mark and ready for beta. I'm still working on my fic but should have it finished in two or three days. It'll be shorter, probably no more than 3,500 words at most, but it does include something creepy crawly, so beware!

If anyone can help us out, then please either leave a comment here or PM us directly. I'm willing to offer Torchwood (or possibly other fandom) drabbles or ficlets as rewards to anyone who can help us out at such short notice. *puppy dog eyes* Pretty please?

So far I'm working on two, they're due for posting by January 2nd so there's plenty of time still, and the fics aren't finished yet. Looks like both will be 2000+ words each, and there's always a chance that I might write more for the Fest, so I'd like to line up a beta or two in advance if I can.

Also, come on writers, there are festive prompts going begging for December Fest, so if you think you might have time to write something Christmassy, then get over there. It's very relaxed, you don't need to claim a prompt or sign up officially, just write for any prompt that catches your eye. Prompt post is here. Fills only need to be 500 words or over, that shouldn't be too hard to fit in!

Thanks to everyone who left suggestions for Ianto's alias, I've saved all the suggestions for later use and due to various people making Bond-related suggestions, I've settled on him borrowing the name of an actor who appeared in many Bond movies - Q himself, Desmond Llewellyn, or Des for short.

Now, an even bigger problem. The TARDIS is getting rather put out - everyone has a name except her, and she's starting to wonder why. So, what name might she pick for herself, or what might Ianto choose for her?

Hello again, my wonderful f-list, I come seeking help again!

One of my remaining prompts is 'Compliments' so I'm trying to compile a list of instances during the show (or the radio plays) where Jack and Ianto compliment each other - or even just say something complimentary about each other to the team. So far, most of what I can remember is from Fragments - Love the coat, Love the suit, etc. - and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - Ianto's 'You're good on roofs' line and saying to the team that Jack is dashing. There must be others, but I can't think and I don't have time to watch two seasons of Torchwood right now, not when I need to keep writing, so I'm hoping some of you might have better memories than I've got and could help me out. *puppy dog eyes* Pretty please?

Does anyone have any ideas? If you can remember the episode as well, that would be even better so I can keep to chronological order.

I had hoped to get another bingo fic posted today, but life conspired against me. I have to to out tomorrow so much of the day has been spent getting organised for that. What with trying to get another fic written, I didn't have time to post one as well as today's drabble. However, I did eventually manage to write one.

That means I now have two bingo fics to be betaed - one of just under 1000 words, the other over 1700 words, so I'm looking for a couple of volunteers. I'm trying not to dump all my fics on just one person, and I still have another 9 prompts to write, so if anyone can beta one of the two I have ready, or would like to volunteer in advance for one I haven't written yet, I'd be very grateful - I know many on my f-list are busy with their own bingo cards and other writing, but if anyone can spare a little time, that would be great!
