Come on, Torchwood fans, it doesn't matter whether you're a member of the community or not, just please stop by and leave some prompts. As some of my F-list know, I'm in the process of starting a new multi-fandom drabble community, with weekly prompts to inspire all those drabblers among us whose favouirite fandoms have no active drabble-specific community of their own.

I'm looking for potential co-mods and also for someone who could create a community icon once the community has a name.

So far, there are three possible names for this soon-to-be community. So, let's see if I can do this right and add a poll...

torchwood_fest's Summer Fest is open for prompts!

Here's what our lovely host alafaye has to say.

So let's have a fest to kick off the summer.

I'm going to model it off the last fest we held in December -- we'll gather prompts from the community and also have weekly prompts. That worked out best for everyone, I think. The only difference is that this won't be seasonal at all. Want a winter holiday fic? Okay. Want something summery? Okay. Want it to have no theme at all? That's okay, too. This fest is just to get some new fic going on in here. I'm also hoping that if I give you more time, we'll have some longer length fics. So, details.

Timeline!

Prompting is open!
May 7th: Prompting closes
May 14: A post will go up where participants can register their interest with a form and which prompt they are most likely to use (prompts can be used by any number of people, no worries) *This post will remain open until June 26th.
June 12th: Fest posting opens
July 16nd: Fest closes; final master list goes up.

So, who's willing to leave prompts and/or write fic? Please consider either or both, it would be great to have more people participating this time.

There's a new community in town and it needs your support!

Beat The Black Dog beattheblackdog is a community to support all those writers who struggle with depression, who've battled depression in the past, or who know someone who is trying to beat the black dog. It's also for the readers, whose support means so much to writers.

There's a weekly writing challenge, and a support centre for people who are struggling, to enable them to connect with other writers and share their stories. There'll also be a running tally of how many words are written.

Just a friendly promotion here - the Wicked Awards are now open for nominations in the following fandoms: Angel, Buffy, Charmed, Doctor Who, Firefly/Serenity, Star Trek(any of the shows including the movies), Stargate(any of the Stargate shows), Supernatural, Teen Wolf, Torchwood, X-Files.
