"I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's Parker ...she likes money and cereal." I'd love it if everyone who's friended me did this. (Yes, even you people who I know really well.) Then post this in your own journal [only if you feel inclined]. In return, ask me anything you'd like to know about me and I'll give you an answer*."

Date: 2013-01-29 04:28 pm (UTC)I collect dragons (is anyone surprised by this?) and I have two full curio cabinets full, except for one shelf that holds all eleven of my Doctor Who figures as well as my Jack and Ianto figures.
I also love cats although I'm not currently the servant of one. :)

I'm second-generation Irish-American and I'm currently considering getting a Celtic tattoo.
My style goddesses are Amy Pond from DW, Alice Cullen from Twilight, and Frankie Paige from the film Stigmata.

I'm a neat-freak that would put Ianto to shame. ;p
I love the heat & hate the cold.
I speak French.
I'm a psychic with no control over my "gift." Third one in my family.

Date: 2013-01-29 06:08 pm (UTC)I share an apartment with my coworker, and long to live in England. I'm an occasional actress, an occasional dramaturg, an occasional editor, and an occasional writer/poet. Most of those things haven't happened in awhile, because work.
So. Hi!

Date: 2013-01-29 08:07 pm (UTC)I like lists, and I speak in parenthetical expressions.
My biggest fandom loves are Ghostbusters ( Egon/Janine is my number one OTP), the Monkees, and the first two seasons of Torchwood.
I studied French for six years and plan to relocate to Provence, assuming my current career shift pays off so I don't have to be so tied down. If not--I'll just retire there.
Oh, and I talk too much.

In university I took a set design class where as my final project I had to design and build a scale set for A Midsummers Night Dream.

Date: 2013-01-30 02:22 am (UTC)Last year my father died of a prolonged illness. Before that my husband took his own life, so at times I can be very melancholy and sad. I bounce in and out of commenting/reading mode, depending on my state of mind. I'll often force myself to read/comment as a way of trying to engage with life outside my gloomy thoughts.
Before sorrow swamped me I used to write in the Harry Potter fandom. I've written hundreds and hundreds of drabbles, and some stories archived at AO3.
My son actually introduced me to Torchwood.

Date: 2013-01-30 11:34 pm (UTC)Also, when my friend lent me her John Barrowman biography, I thought it might be boring to start right at the beginning, you know, with the "I was born and raised" part, so I just flipped it open at any page and jumped into it right in the middle. Only then I figured out that his biography jumps around from story to story anyway, and is not in a linear order ;)
