I saw this over on dieastra 's journal and thought it looked like fun....

I'm sorry to hear that you have health problems. The internet can be such a blessing for reaching out, can't it?
And I forgot to ask my questions about you: do you have pets? And do you really knit badly and what do you like knitting?

At the moment we only have three pets, a rabbit named Misty who is getting on for 8 years old and has a lot of dental problems - partly because he refuses to see hay or grass as food - and two tortoises, Tommy and Jemima (who was named Jimmy until she laid an egg!)

I do knit, quite well in fact. My user name came from an earlier pet, Frizzle the Badly-Knitted pig, who really did look like a scrap of tangled knitting when I got him.

I've knitted loads of things over the past 30-odd years, starting with baby clothes when I discovered I was going to be an auntie back when I was 18. The little bundle of joy is now 32 and over 6ft tall, lol! I've knitted a lot of sweaters for various family members, even more for myself, and several soft toys in the past. I prefer knitting sweaters or baby clothes (I love the lacy designs and the tiny sizes). I'm not good at fairisle, or any knitting which requires changing colours. I can do it, but I tend to knit it too tight so I have to go very slowly to avoid that. I've made quite a few sweaters with pictures on the front, which I did by knitting plain stockinette sweaters then using a technique called swiss darning to embroider the picture so it looks knitted. One of these days I'll get around to posting photos of those. One design I've done five times! It's a Tiger's head which I really love. I did it twice for my sister and three times for myself on different coloured sweaters.

Hehe! I'm the world's biggest klutz, so no knitting. I keep meaning to buy one of those knitting patterns where you use giant needles to make scarves etc quickly - I'd like yo try that. But only in winter - summer here in Australia is too hot to be knitting.

Even in England summer can be too hot to knit - especially if I'm knitting a big sweater. Having the knitted part draped across my lap is way too hot. It's nice in winter though. I really should get back to the cabled sweater I started knitting last winter but at the moment I'm stitching mum's birthday card, then I have to do a Valentine card and several birthday cards... There aren't enough hours in the day!

Those giant needles look like fun!
