I saw this over on dieastra 's journal and thought it looked like fun....

Sorry to hear that. I can still drive as long as I take breaks so have been all over Britain. Sadly saw Three Cliffs Bay in person when I was 13 but haven't been back and now can't do the walking. This limits how much I can do but I've done some amazing drives in the past. The last was the road to Applecross and wow was that scary.
I went to IOW when I was 13 and we stayed in Bembridge.

I was 13 when I went there! I can't remember where we stayed, but we rented a caravan in someone's back garden, lol! It was a lot of fun. My mum's family came from there, her grandparents I think it was. Mum herself is from London and was there during the blitz.

I hated being driven over the steep passes in the Lakes. Mum, my sister and I usually got out and walked - we weren't convinced dad could drive over them safely, lol! I would be far too scared to drive them myself, even I could still go up to the Lakes!
