Seriously, I am the least motherly person I've ever met, I have no maternal instincts whatsoever, which is why I never had kids. My mind is boggling!

But you took good care of your own mother. That should tell you something. I don't think we ever see ourselves as we really are, or as we seem to others. We never know the impact we have on others, either, even from just a casual word with a stranger.

But I didn't. Every day was a struggle. I didn't do it because I wanted to but because I had no choice. We lived together so when she couldn't take care of herself I had to. I was impatient, bad tempered and snappy most of the time and I complained a lot. I looked after her, but I certainly wasn't good at it. I'm not good at dealing with other people, not in person, and my phobias and OCD just make everything more difficult. I'm simply not cut out to be a care for another person. I can barely take care of myself! Mum deserved better.

So motherly person of the year, you're not. Just shows you can't believe online tests. I took one once, and the in the results, the creator said I was just the kind of woman he likes to date, so if I live in the whatever area... I am no doubt old enough to be his great-grandmother. LOL
