Title: Hard Choice
Author: [livejournal.com profile] badly_knitted
Characters: Donna Noble, Tenth Doctor.
Rating: G
Written For: Challenge 262: Epoch at [livejournal.com profile] dw100.
Spoilers: Nada.
Summary: With all of time and space to choose from, where will Donna pick?
Disclaimer: I don’t own Doctor Who, or the characters.

“Where to; the far future, distant past, or another world? Take your pick, I can take you anywhere and any time!”

The Doctor’s enthusiasm was infectious, but how could Donna possibly choose? Where do you start when you have all of time and space spread out in front of you? There was so much to see and do…

It popped into her head out of nowhere. Not a distant world; that could wait. Another epoch, back when strange creatures roamed and the earth was still young.

“Dinosaurs! I want to see dinosaurs, like in Jurassic Park.”

The Doctor grinned. “Brilliant!”

Donna is way braver than me.

Well, you know what I mean? :)

I didn't watch the whole of "Jurassic Park" after one scary scene. I get freaked out too easily over things like that.:(

I won't risk seeing something going too graphic because it takes a while to shake the image. Too traumatic for me.:(

For exampIe, I can't rewatch that Buffy episode where Willow kills Warren.

Psychological thrillers are more my genre. Supernatural was the last show I watched where things would get abit gorey.

I viewed it for the characters and the stories. Which is whats more important to me.

Yeah, it's not productive to waste time on mindless entertainment.

I have a home security system and I still wouldn't watch horror movies. I've always looked away when I tried too.

I don't know how people can produce that stuff without being psychologically imbalanced. I don't want to judge though.

I'd rather watch the news or a cheery children's program. Anything but horror.

Mine is going on a rollercoaster but I haven't done that in years.:)

I use to like love stories or drama but now find them unrealistic. I can bear it only if it comes second to the action or mystery within a TV show or movie.

Do you mind telling me what children's show you're referring too? You make it sound scary but I'm curious.:D

A rollercoaster is more predictable than a real life romance. Which is more enjoyable in my books.

However it takes good banter and chemistry between actors to entertain me.

Wow, thanks for the information.:)

I looked up "Escape Into Night" and the images freaked me out as it is.

That's a kids show?! :D

Nah! A plot has to be thick to be good.:)

All that's missing is the scary music which I'm sure it has if I watched it.

I don't recall the latter. Maybe I saw the commercial. I'll have to see if I can come across it. I don't have Foxtel anymore. Its the free to air program for me at the moment.

Duh Duh Duh!!!*imitates scary music*

Yeah, I feel like I'm back in the eighties and early nineties. Some people buy DVDS because it's more convenient. I can't even record any shows.:(

I'm missing out on the new series of Doctor Who!

I get so use to all these options. It takes a while to accept the change.:)

Well, thanks for your honest opinion. I had a feeling that was the case. I watched "Whovians" anyway, which is a show that is by dedicated fans who review Doctor Who. That's the vibe I was getting there too. Which is a shame.:(

Well I hope to enjoy the episodes back to back in their own right. The Twelfth Doctor went from grumpy to retired rockstar than something inbetween.:)

So maybe it's a slow burn with her characterisation. I at least hope so. I wish I knew why the actress was hired specifically to get a better feel of her.:(

Sounds like the writers need to give her better dialogue that aludes to the gender change. But she doesn't need womens human health issues either.:)

I'm just trying to remember how they handled the Master/Missy thing. There really wasn't a need to change the name. Besides trying to hide the fact that Missy was the Master. After that...

Yes. David Tennant has the angry/shouty thing going on. I've seen him in other roles where he does it at slightly different variables.

He can be so cheerful one moment then switched to threatening in an instant.

While Twelve will just say something in an understated way. The intimidation is through his reputation.

I think Eleven did some of that too. He could become reckless if he didn't have someone traveling with him.
