All Suggestions Gratefully Received!

Okay, so far I have written three Butterfly drabbles (Elusive Butterfly, Adhesive Butterfly and Impulsive Butterfly), and I'm working on a fourth which I already have a title for.... but, I'm hoping to continue the series and for that I need more titles. I want to stay with the idea I've used so far, therefore I need more words ending with 'ive'.

I'm making a list, but most that I've come up with so far don't seem to have much potential as titles (at least they're not proving inspiring), so here's where I call on my friends (and anyone else who happens to wander into my journal) for ideas and suggestions. Please can you rummage through your brains and see if you can come up with more words ending in 'ive'?

Suggesters of winning words will get the drabble using that word as the title dedicated to them!

Wow! That's a long list! I already used Adhesive, but the one I hve half-written is Decorative and there are several in your list that I like the sound of... must start thinking about those. Thank you very much!

I'm delighted you're continuing with this! It's so much fun. Here's what I came up while taking my partner's daughter to school:

I also liked inclusive and illusive for the series, but someone else got there first. :-p

Some words are being suggested by more than one person, which is fine, it'll just mean shared dedications if I use them.

Most likely, it will be an occasional series, like Hub wars, new drabbles added when they come to me. I'm trying for a kind of continuity but who knows how well that will work... lol!

Thanks for your suggestions and remember, there's no limit to how many words you can suggest. The more words I have, the more ideas I might get!

Those are two great words, no one else has suggested them either! No idea when the next one will be written. I have started it, but a migraine is preventing me from thinking clearly at the moment so I'm just gathering words and hoping they'll inspire me. I have a couple of vague ideas, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens!

Actually, there are several on your list that have definite potential, but one just really jumped out at me.

I have a Jack/Butterfly one that I'm working on, then I'd really like to do Tosh/Butterfly but I can't decide which word would work best so i'll need to think about that.

I'm thinking of doing an Owen one called Expletive Butterfly - reflecting Owen's thoughts and feelings about the butterfly when it tries out his head as a perch. What do you think?

I've had a look through the words I've got listed and I've come up with the following possibilities for Tosh/Butterfly - Perceptive, Communicative (or Uncommunicative), Inquisitive or possibly Interactive.

Nothing is gelling in my brain at the moment though, I'm wondering if I should do Owen after Jack, but I know how I'd like the butterfly to switch from Jack to Tosh and from Tosh to Owen. I have a vague idea about Gwen feeling left out, but I'm not sure about that yet. I might change my mind. There are so many good words!

This is taking a lot more thinking about than I expected, LOL!

I had loads of suggestions, so there will be more drabbles about the butterfly. I am writing another one at the moment, which will make six, and I have many more ideas.
