Today Sucks!

Today officially sucks! It started off okay - I bounded out of bed bright and early (okay, so I dragged myself out of bed after nine), but I got a load of washing on because it's sunny today, then i got the washing hung out on the line, just lowered my hands from hanging the last item and the new garden incinerator mum bought a couple of days ago was right underneath. It has a sort of chimney on the top, the edge of which, I discovered, is razor sharp. It sliced into the middle finger on my right hand, the side of the first joint, and gouged out a big slice! Took ages to stop the bleeding, I've got a big plaster on now, but my entire hand is throbbing and I can't use it to do... well, anything really. I'm having to do everything left handed, which is awkward, and I won't be able to do any knitting fora while. I can't even cut a slice of bread! I'm fed up =(

Oh, my goodness! You poor thing! *hugs you* That sounds terrible! Are you sure that you shouldn't have made a trip to A&E? Oh, dear. Just rest and take painkillers!

Didn't seem bad enough for A & E, don't think they could've put stitches in anyway, but it's certainly not fun. I can just about type now with my right hand (I'm a one-finger typist anyway, but I usually use the finger I've hurt), but I can't grip with my right hand because it would probably set it bleeding again! Besides, my finger hurts! =(

Honestly, surgery hurts less!

I've got my latest fic to link to the communities, stuff to be posted on Dreamwidth, everything is taking three times longer than usual, so I'm feeling sorry for myself *sigh* Even eating a yoghurt is proving difficult. I never knew how hard it could be to hold a spoon!

Just got in from school to read this *hugs you carefully* Poor you... *sends strawberry laces and marshmallows by urgent SUV delivery* - best 2 delivery boys of course!

On the bright side, my hand has stopped throbbing and it hasn't started bleeding again, so that's good.

I can't grip with that hand though. I pushed everything back in place and applied pressure to stop the bleeding, but if I bend that finger, I'll undo all the good I've done, and I'm not sure how deep it went. I was too bust trying to stop the bleeding to investigate. I'm hoping what got sliced will heal back in place.

What's annoying is how much it stops me doing. I must not get it wet! I will survive, I'm sure, but Tuesday is when I get an hour to knit and this week I can't =(

I'll watch CSI and play cards on my computer instead.

Wonder how many short fics I'll have to write to reach that score =P

I was going to work on my next Nosy fic today, but I can't concentrate. Feeling too battered. I'll console myself with reading fanfic and playing some of the different kinds of patience I've got. I put a program on my computer that has just about every kind of patience known to man, including lots of games using 3 or 4 decks, so I can keep my brain working with the tough ones =) Only trouble is, they're a bit addictive!

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day! *lopsided hugs* xxx
