Home Again!

Home at last! Actually got home half an hour ago, but I had to do stuff before firing up my computer and sitting down.

Well, that wasn't too bad. Left here just before 1.30 for my 2pm appointment, checked in at 1.40, was told to take a seat and wait for my name to be called, but got called before I could sit, and was on my way out just before 2. The test was uncomfortable, but bearable even if I might have been walking funny when I left.

There's  no taxi rank outside the treatment centre though, so then I had to walk all the way around to the hospital's main entrance, where the taxis live. Got one right away and had the driver drop me off near the shops because I wanted to get some fruit. He dropped me further up the road than I usually ask to be dropped because there was a convenient space, and because of that, I walked past a shop I've never seen before - must be pretty new. All sorts of ethnic stuff, incence and wiccan things, and best of all, crystals! So I spent too much money in there, but managed to have enough left over for fruit.

This is the first time in years I've been able to sort through crystals and handle then before buying. Such a treat, I'll definitely go in there again. Popped round the corner from there and got locally grown strawberries, nectarines, cherries, and some more rhubarb to cook, then walked home, about a fifteen minute walk. Thankfully it didn't rain on me, but I was hot and tired when I got back so I indulged in an ice cream from the freezer. They've been in there since we had a hot spell in May, I've been too cold since then to feel like eating them.

So now I intend to look at my new crystals, and then slob around for the rest of the day. I'm tired and I ache from walking and carrying heavy fruit, doesn't take much to set the aches and pains off. Doesn't matter though. I'm home, just got to check with the doctor in a week for the results. Not a bad day, all things considered.

It's good to hear your appointment went as smoothly as possible, and that you could do some nice shopping afterwards.

I bought some peaches today and sadly they tastet awfully. I wish you more luck with your fruit.

Hopefully you can rest enough, and your pain eases quickly.

I have my fingers crossed for good results next week.

*hugs*

Sounds like great reward for the uncomfortable doctor's visit. I know what you mean about it not taking much to get things started. *hugs*

I'm like that, too, which is good since my back and wrists hurts pretty much all the time. Thankfully, I can (and do) take anti inflammatories when it gets too bad, but I hate doing it because they are so hard on my body.

Enjoy your pretties.

It seemed that you were rewarded by the end of the doctor's visit, new crystals seem to be an excellent treat after a not-so nice visit.
Slob around, eat ice creams and nice fruits (I miss summer soooo much, especially because we are under a spell of cold weather but were promised our Indian summer next week YAY!!!!)
Rest so all those uncomfortable aches and pains wear out soon.
Take care!
Hugs!!!

Glad to hear that everything went reasonably smoothly and that karma decided to reward you. Strawberries and cherries and nectarines yummy! That's about the only thing I don't like about winter, the lack of summer fruit.

They sound pretty and useful. :-) it's so awesome youv got a shop close with crystals and someone that knows about them as well. I don't think anyone can ever know everything about crystals. Not with how much they are still learning, and all the new things showing up.

Good to hear that your appointment went well. Nothing serious, I hope? Having to wait for test results sounds a bit on the ominous side.

OMG. Crystals! Pretty, shiny, magic little things! Thanks to you, I have a lovely collection. :) I wish I had a shop like that around here, but it's getting so that places close down rather than start up these days. This town is full of empty storefronts. If I want semi-decent incense, I have to hope that the petrol station up the road actually has some & not just an empty display box on the counter by the register. The last time I bought some & burned it, it smelled horrid. Like the sticks had maybe gotten wet & the resin got wrecked. Gave me a headache & I had to open the windows. ;p

That fruit sounds lovely. Your mention of cherries makes me want a cherry pie.....

I love fresh fruit so much especially when it is locally grown and ripened on the vine. I hope you enjoy yours.
