Title: Odd One Out

Author: [livejournal.com profile] badly_knitted

Characters: Tosh, Team Torchwood, the Doctor.

Rating: G

Written For: Challenge 349: Banana at [livejournal.com profile] tw100

Spoilers: Tiny for Something Borrowed.

Summary: Tosh is feeling left out.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.

A/N: 100 words exactly, first try! Yay! And for the record, I share Tosh’s problem, so I can empathise.

Tosh stood off to one side of the Hub, sipping her rum and coke, watching as the Doctor and the rest of the Torchwood team toasted each other with banana daiquiris. She felt left out, isolated from her friends, which was stupid; she’d done as much as anyone to help save the day, and she knew she wasn’t being deliberately excluded from the celebrations, it was just…

She sighed and sipped her drink again, wishing she could have what everyone else was enjoying. Why did the Doctor have to be so enamoured of the one fruit she was allergic to?

The End

Agreed. I sort of liked the movie...in the same way that I'm sitting in the trash bin for the entire show, so...whatever.
My father's similar. He's fairly slow, at least compared to everyone else, let alone me, but he makes lots of tiny errors. I used to stand behind him while he was working on briefs (he's a lawyer) and point out when he spelled 'the' wrong. I must have been horrid to have around then lmao.
I've never gotten much in to E Readers so I don't read those at night basically ever. I used to read books at night a lot, but now with my loft bed...I can't turn my lights off once I've gotten in or anything like that. But I guess, I do a great many things in the middle of the night, since I'm nearly always awake then anyway!!

Oi, I can't sleep with the light on. Some "natural" (as natural as you can get in DC - it's not like I'm not risking being woken by flashing lights regardless) light in through the window, sure, but nothing too bright.
I have my iPad which I sometimes use but it's too clunky to keep in bed with me. I'm hugging my sleeping buddy (my favorite and longest-owned, as in since before I was born, stuffed animal) and rolling around and all sorts of weirdness. I'm sure I'd end up breaking it or shoving it away to endure the eight-foot fall to the floor.
Most of my training's just the regular, honors english class, type training. I'm quite good at realizing errors, thankfully! I've never been a beta for a fic, but I'm certainly one of the first that fellow students come to for peer editing!

Seems like how I'll eventually get into a beta. I'm sure it's just a matter of time lol.

Yes, well, Sleepy Bear is not particularly old nor battered, but we are ten pence from twenty years!!

The light affects my nightmares, too, but in the way that unless I'm entirely desperate I can't fall asleep at all when there's any good amount of light.

She really is. I've been rather protective of her, so she's done well. Hanging in here with me! :)

That's quite good, then, if it gets light that early! I like to see the moon, but not when I am trying to sleep.

I have quite a few stuffies that aren't the best cuddlers, but Sleepy Bear's always been good. She's very small - just a head, and then a baby blankie sorta thing connected to it, and arms - so I can actually hold her inside my arms.

She is! I'd get a picture but I don't feel like getting up right now so I won't. But I'll put one up later.

My parents *ahem* strongly encouraged me to donate many of the ones I once had. I still have quite a few. Upwards of ten, I think. They're all (save for Sleepy Bear) at the foot of my bed.

Yeah, when I eventually have a regular bed (unless I get a wicked cool spaceship bed or something) I'll have to figure out what to do...

I'll probably get a different mattress when I get a different bed. I'd like something a bit softer too. But I don't even want to think about a) trying to get this mattress off my goshdarn loft or b) asking my father for the money for a new mattress, so that's gonna wait until own-apartment time.

Very true, unfortunately.

I sincerely doubt I'll be getting a car, though, so I'll be able when the time comes to dedicate a greater percentage of my income to something like that...I don't know if there's anything I could recommend to you tho.
