Still Washing Stuffies...

So, I've been washing more stuffies - big surprise there - so here are some more pics showing stuffies and behind the first one you can see what I've been doing in the garden. Compare it to the last lot of pics for the 'before' shot. ;)

The last picture is of some mysterious holes I found under the ivy I was clearing. I have no idea whose holes they are. The biggest one is about 3.5 inches across, goes down about 5 inches then heads left. Not sure of the hole is in use, but the smaller one wasn't there the day before... o.O

I'm battling on as best I can, but life is tougher and scarier than usual right now.

I have a computer desk and chair in my room and I sit there, which is where I am now. My room is cramped but it's the warmest room in the house and gets the best light. it's also at the back of the house making it the quietest. it's been my room my entire life.

Hopefully you'll be able to move somewhere better before too much longer.

As long as Alex is feeling well enough to play he can't be too bad. Sore throats are a nuisance but hopefully it will be gone soon.

We get much colder here in Britain than you do. Coal fires aren't much different from wood fires, but they're messy and a nuisance, and I wish I could have some other form of heating, but it's too expensive to make the switch. I have no heat at all over summer when the fire is out.

Crystals are very soothing, that's why I like them. They make me feel better. =)

Hang in there. I know it is hard on everyone. I hate this new way of life and I hope it won't go on forever. I am back in a hole and it is so hard. Any negativity aimed at me feels impossible to deal with. I have gotten rid of most of my democrat friends on FB. If I get attacked here, I will get rid of them here too because I want to feel safe posting even if you are the only one that reads my stuff. There aren't people in the middle anymore in the US. You are either way to the right or way to the left. I think it is sad and I being a pessimist don't see America as getting any better. I know Britain must be different. I love England, never been there but know a British family that lives here and they are so sweet. You guys are so nice.

We try to be nice, but we have our share of unpleasant people and our own worries and woes. What country doesn't?

We all had a great time at out social distancing street party last night, sitting in our drives with our drinks and food. I'm lucky to live on a street where there's still a great sense of community. Seeing people having a good time even though we had to keep our distance was good =)

You are so lucky to have such nice neighbors. I am hoping and praying God will help us out of this place with cheap housing, duplexes. I didn't grow up with this kind of housing around me. We were so stupid to move into this house. I want to be back in a middle class nice, quiet neighborhood like I grew up in.

Hey I wrote you a private post asking for a picture of you. I was going to try to find out how to send one of me too. I keep wondering if I got it wrong when I made the Custom Group. I made one with you in it only, maybe I was suppose to put myself in it too. Not sure if you can see it or maybe it is only seen on the site and not email. Not sure how that works. I post at the site and not through the email. I have so many now afraid I will lose you that way. I just go to notifications here on the site. If you don't want to send a pic that is ok. I know you are a little thing. I remember you showed me a picture once a long time ago. Also, it confused me, I don't remember there being a Public and Private button on the Custom Groups page. I made it private thinking that way no one else but you and me could see it. Not sure you can see it. Geez! Still trying to re-learn how the site works.

It's from 4 years ago an only my glasses have changed. It's the only one I have online and the most recent pic of me that exists. I hate having my photo taken.

Oh ok, I kept trying, I noticed some old post I made private that you didn't answer was like 2018 and I must be doing it all wrong. I will just stick to Friends, that seems to work. You see them and my friend Rhonda from FB joined, but she does not know how to use anything here so she will likely just read now and then and reply. Replying is not hard, just different here than FB, she may not see the reply button.

Oh never seen this picture. You look happy and sweet. I think you showed me one or mailed it, and you were standing by a car or something, think it was a really long time ago. I can't remember the year.

I am terribly sick with a fever and head cold. I need to see if I can figure out how to upload a picture of myself too. I will as soon as feeling a little better. I have notes on how to do it, just been a long time.

Do you post from the site or emails? I come here so can insert icons. Maybe you can from email too. I have my settings to check notifications here. Like I said, I have too many emails now. A lot of them are junk I could probably unsubscribe from.

I remember the picture you're talking about, the one with me and the Third Doctor's car. That was even older than this one! I love owls and the great grey owl is my favourite kind of owl. Galadriel is so beautiful.

I do both because I don't always get all my LJ notifications in my email inbox. I get a link in my inbox emails that says 'reply at webpage' so that takes me to the journal page as if I'd been there to start with and just clicked 'reply'

That's right, I remember now that you said that. I knew it was a car, didn't remember it was a Dr. Who car. I knew it was something special and my brain is just gone.

The owl is very beautiful, I love the name Galadriel. Very pretty.

Yeah I am hoping it is nothing serious or Covid related. I had a fever back in March and was scared but I got over it. This one is about as bad, but this time I got a stuffed up nose that is so bad. Running low grade fever. Last time it got up to 101.5 I think. I feel worse this time though. I rarely get sick, this sick but it doesn't feel like anything worse than a flu so hoping it is regular flu or just a bad cold. Yeah, not been out since last Saturday. Alex seems to have same symptoms but no fever which is odd. We both been whining up a storm. lol!

He graduated today from Middle School. He goes to 9th grade High school in August. He has so much trouble reading, but he got an award that said "most improved in Reading" today! So proud of him!

Te name is from Lord of the Rings. I think it suits her. Sh's very big, I could feel her weight on my arm but she's a lot lighter than she looks. Birds have hollow bones to keep their weight down or they wouldn't be able to fly.

You both need to rest and drink plenty. Hopefully whatever it is will pass quickly. *hugs*

Hey Jean, I was wondering. Some of my icons are not showing up, just the description but can't see the icon pictures. Have you had that problem? Also something weird below my post says "Notice! This user has turned on the option that logs your IP address when posting." Then has a question mark. I tried reading about it, but too over my head. I don't get it. I wonder if LJ is having problems. I want my icons back, I paid for them. I hope it is temporary.

The bird is very pretty. Oh I loved Lord of the Rings movies.

Yeah Alex and I are pretty much just taking it easy. I am not getting too much done right now.

I'm not having any trouble with my icons, but then I don't pay for extras I just have what comes with my level of account.

The bit at the bottom is perfectly fine, anyone with any sense has that enabled because it logs the internet address comments are coming from, so if there's a spammer sending annoying comments at random LJ can block the address the spam is coming from. The question mark can be clicked on to learn more.

So did I and I loved the books too. Read them decades before the movies were made.

No one gets a lot done when they're sick. Just take it easy until you're better.

I have the Professional account I think with one package of user pics, but since I pay once a year I earn more spaces. I could upload a bunch more user pics if I want to. I was looking through my folders from stuff I collected 10+ years ago. I have so much stuff. Was a little Frodo crazy in those years. He is still adorable, but want to add more of my latest interests in my icons. I still love all the LOTR movies though. Watched them awhile back again and I still loved them. So well made and I loved the actors. Kind of getting back into The X-files again and Torchwood. Will always likely have those icons. I loved NCIS until they messed it up. So many people have left the show and been replaced. I stopped watching it about 2 or 3 years back, I lose track of time. When Tony left that was it for me, just not the same. To me the first 7 or 8 Seasons were the bests. They were like family and I didn't think anyone would leave. I wish they would have just ended the show early and had a goodbye show. Took some of my NCIS icons down, may take some others down. They are from before everything changed. It was a show Michael and I loved to watch together. He saw when the first person left Ziva and it was so sad. They got a new girl, not the same and then he was not around to see how bad it got.
Was really into the Marvel films, but the way it ended and I won't tell you cause you might see it some day it you haven't was not what I wanted. I mean they did a good job, but they broke my heart in the last 2 Avenger's films. I loved Loki and they did not do right by him in my opinion.

Oh I finally found my icons, uploaded them again and deleted the ones that were missing. I think this may have happened once years ago, but no idea why. I have paid for them in fact it says I have more room so weird.

Yeah whatever I got I am really sick. Not been this sick in a long time. Tired of stuffy head and so tired. I hope I don't have to go to the doctor.

Oh I think this thread is going down the right side of the page. I will start a new one on my page I think. lol! I remember this happening in the past when we kept replying on the same thread. :)

Glad you managed to get your icons sorted at least. I have no idea why that happened I saw your post about it just now, but I have no useful advice except to put up new icons or replace the missing ones.

I haven't seen the last couple of seasons on NCIS, as far as I know they haven't been shown here, but I haven't been looking. I don't watch much TV these days although I'm enjoying The Good Doctor now it's on a TV station I ca watch. Also watching Hawaii 5-0, re-runs of Star Trek Next Generation, and Merlin. That's about it right now.

Hopefully you'll start to feel better soon. Just don't go out until you're free of symptoms, you don't want to pass it along to anyone else. One nasty virus out there is more than enough, you don't want to add yours into the mix!

The virus I must have got either from Alex or when I went to get supplies. I am the only one who can get our food and supplies. I went out last night, but I washed and sterilized my hands, wore a mask and did not touch my face the whole time I was in the store. Sorry, someone out there made us sick cause they were not careful. I don't think I infected anyone. They close the store early to stock and sterilize now.

I have seen all the The Next Generation, Star Trek shows. That used to be one of my favorite shows. Michael and I love just about all the Star Trek shows and movies except Deep Space Nine, boring.

Yeah just put icons back up, some I deleted anyway. Guess I will stop here and start a new post next. If you reply here only thing I know to do is let you know it is a reply to this thread.

I wasn't too keen on later seasons of Voyager. Didn't like Seven-of-Nine. I like original ST best, then Next Gen.

Yeah my two favorites were the Original Star Trek and Next Generation, I did actually like Voyager. Woman Capt. was cool! Deep Space Nine, no chemistry with the characters and just kind of boring to me anyway. Michael and I met in time to watch the last seasons of Next Generation together and we saw the full what 8 or 10 seasons, can't remember of Voyager.

I tried to get into Deep Space Nine, but I didn't like most of the characters. Dr Bashir annoyed me, Ben Sisko was a huge disappointment, just so bland (I love the actor, Avery Brooks, he's gone great work elsewhere but was badly cast). I liked Worf (naturally), and Odo, and even Jadzia Dax, but everyone else... Nope!

I far preferred Babylon 5 which is still my favourite SF show. I re-watch it practically every year.

Oh yeah I loved Worf, forgot he came on there. Yeah there was just no chemistry between the cast which I think is what really made Star Trek, all of them work.
