Saw this on iantojjackh's  journal and thought it might be fun, so I'm throwing my hat (or my fics anyway) into the ring.

Choose any of my fics or drabbles and then pick prequel, time stamp, missing scene, alternate POV or alternate ending and I will write a 100 drabble or slightly longer for you. If you pick time stamp, remember to specify the length of time.

Because I can never get enough of George. I was just thinking of him the other day when I saw "The Suit That Turned Left" as a tw100 prompt. Seemed like a perfect description of that story to me! :D

I was trying to get something for George with that prompt, but nothing was coming to me.

I'll give this a think and see what I come up with. Having a rough day today because of the heat, so my brain isn't working too well.

Are you still suffering under that sweltering heat wave? I was in London on the 15th (the last day of our trip) and it was close to 90. Now I'm home and it's the same but even hotter--close to 100 every day, with no relief in sight. Unbelievable.

*Sends Ianto in with some iced tea and a palm frond to fan you*

Um, how about Ianto with a big pool of cold water and some ice cubes? Iced tea isn't going to do it!

Yeah, it's still in the eighties and I've never coped well with heat. British homes tend not to have a/c and there's a breeze but it's blowing the wrong way to do any good. It feels airless and stuffy, really not good. It's the dryest July in over 200 years, probably the hottest too. I've complained the last few years about i being too wet to do anything in the garden, now it's dry but too hot to be outside!

I'll re-read Ianto's Little Helper and see where a missing scene might be... I have two other requests so I don't know which will get done first. Whichever I get inspiration for first I suppose. They're all good choices and all should be fun!

I think I've only written 8 drabbles this week. I have 3 more to post.

Only 8 drabbles? You really ARE slowing down. ;) But seriously, that sounds miserable. I hope you get some rain soon. I do have AC but it's straining under the load and the house isn't very cool. It's just less warm than it would be without them. :(

Sun's below the horizon now, so it's getting a bit cooler and the breeze can actually be felt a bit. It's nice. It'll be hot again by 7am though. Ugh. I hate being cold, but I can't stand the heat either, don't seem to be able to cope with either. *sigh* I wish it could just be pleasantly warm.

I've worked out that I've written 33 drabbles for this challenge. It's kinda scary, I feel like I've been hogging the prompts and everyone else is gonna tell me its not fair so I can't play anymore! I just get a bit carried away sometimes...

There's never a good middle ground, is there? These days, those temperate seasons called "Spring" and "Fall" seem to have gone on permanent holiday!

33!!! Congratulations! That's really amazing. I don't think anyone will say any such a thing--after all, it's not like the prompts can't be used more than once. I think everyone is just enjoying the fruits of your efforts, like I am. :)

I hope they are, I certainly had fun writing them. Not too happy with this week's prompt though. Baby Names? I know it's topical, but...

I've written one, but it doesn't say anything about babies, I guess it's sort of implied, but it's really talking about what to name future kids that are just sort of a distant possibility, so I'm not sure if it's okay to use. I don't know what else I could do. I don't want to do Gwen/Rhys, Tosh and Owen are nowhere near the point of having children, jack and Ianto as parents has been done so often already... I'm struggling to find something different I could do. Can't we go back to last week's challenge?

I agree, this week's topic is a bit of comedown after that smorgasbord of whimsical titles we've been playing with all month!

If it mentions naming babies, I'm sure it's fine, but I'd be happy to take a look at it if you'd like. :)

I've finished writing all three I got requests for, I feel a bit bad because yours came out shortest, but anyway, I need more ideas to keep me writing. Awww, don't feel bad! Good things come in small packages, like all the drabbles you're writing. I'm just thrilled to have more George coming.

I'm getting a bit of other writing done, but not as much as I'd like. It seems I just need a bit of a nudge. The meme helped and I've got two other one-shots finished, two in progress and a 5 part fic I just need to do a final edit on, but I'm running low on ideas. The more ideas I have waiting to be written, the more inclined I am to write something.

I'll start posting the fills - one a week 'cause I'm mean - after I finish posting this week's drabbles, which means the first one will probably be posted around the middle of next week.

I'm still trying to catch up with posting and cross-posting the last of my Week 4 drabbles, I wrote so many I ended up a bit muddled. Got two more of those to post to ff.net, Teaspoon and AO3, as well as cross-posting them to communities, plus three for this week's prompt... I'll catch up eventually. Probably. I hope... o_O

Well, since you mentioned it...I'd like anything with happy Jack and Ianto, Toss and Owen still alive and well, even Rhys. No Gwen, though. I really hate Gwen. Sorry. Thanks for pointing me here. Yes, I meant Tosh, not Toss. LOL

I'm with you on Gwen, though I do have to write her sometimes and when I do, I try REALLY hard to make her a more tolerable character. I do have one coming up that features Gwen rather a lot, because it's a sequel to my Fantasia fic that was requested, but I don't really enjoy writing her, it's a struggle, I just can't identify with her at all. I much prefer writing Ianto and Jack. I think I'm slowly getting better at Tosh and Owen

I very rarely write outside my own Torchwood universe, in which all the characters are alive and well. There are a few canon-based drabbles and one fic - A Hero's return, which is an episode coda to The Stolen Earth - where Tosh and Owen are gone, but I think that's it.

I'll see what I can do, I might expand one of my drabbles, there are a few that have potential to be longer fics. Also I find myself wanting to write something with caterpillars for some reason *sigh* My brain is weird.

My new cross stitch magazine has a chart for a display of wonderfully wriggly looking, fuzzy caterpillars - I'm an absolute sucker for them, I've always loved the little critters. It made me want to write something with them, but I don't know if I will as I have several fics vying to be written right now. However, I'm thinking of Nosy finding a caterpillar, one that moves by humping itself up in the middle then straightening out again. The thought of Nosy trying to copy it is beyond words, lol!

I'm kinda fond of creepy crawly things that ARE insects too - some of them anyway. There are a few I could do without.

I will post pictures. I just posted pics of my latest project earlier this evening. I'm getting used to the process of re-sizing pictures before posting so they're a sensible size.

I can love little spiders, but big ones creep me out! Anything over a centimetre is way too big and needs to get out of my house now! Technically they're not insects anyway as they have eight legs instead of six - which is half the problem. That's just too many legs!

Do you have the Windows Paint program on your computer? Resizing is pretty easy with that, there's a resize button that allows you to pretty much adjust a picture to any size you want.

I do have Paint, but I can never seem to get it to do what I want. Too picky for Paint? I know they are technically not insects, those spiders, but still... It's teeny, it crawls, jumps or flies...insect. Bug. I don't like bugs. LOL

I find if I open a picture in Paint and then click the resize button I can make my image smaller. I usually change the 100 to 50, and if that's still too big, I do the same thing again, or choose another number. Then if you look down the right hand side of your picture there's a little square halfway along which can be dragged inwards to cut awayu anything you don't want in your picture. Do the same at the bottom, then flip the image by 180 degrees to do the same with the other two sides and save the result. that's what I do anyway. Anything more complicated - I don't have a clue, lol! But for basic resizing, it works fine.

Really it's only spiders I have a problem with, I like most other things, except for things that harm my plants, and red ants because their bite is so painful. We don't get fire ants in England, thank goodness, lol!

I've been trying them with no bad stuff invading my pc, so they seem to be okay, and I know they've been around a long time. You can always use Dr.Web Anti-Virus Link Checker if you're not sure.

I've been using that for years and can vouch for it's integrity. You can't be too careful in the cyber-world. Or ethernet. Or wherever this stuff resides. :)

My internet security thingy does virus scans so I should be safe, it won't even let me link to something that might be risky without warning me. You really do need to have a good security program in place these days, don't you. Always better to be safe.

I'm done in, I've had a rough day, so I think I'm heading off to bed soon. I got some writing done earlier and posted a fic too, so at least I made some progress today!
