Spoilers: Cyberwoman I guess.

Summary: Ianto considers strategies as he keeps Lisa hidden.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.

A/N: Episode title = drabble title. It’s just easier that way

It hadn’t taken Ianto long to realise the best way of keeping Lisa hidden was to make himself invisible.

Never one to draw attention to himself, he quickly learned to blend into the background, being indispensable while going about his tasks unnoticed.

It was simple. Most of the team barely noticed him as long as whatever they needed appeared when, or better yet, before they needed it.

Jack’s attention, however, proved impossible to avoid; different tactics were required.

So Ianto encouraged him, flirting, leading him on, diverting his attention.

Sometimes, he mused, the art of concealment is all about misdirection.

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! I tinkered a bit more with this one this morning before posting because the end was a bit clunky, but I think I'm happy with it now. It just jumped out at me as being another perfect title for a Torchwood fic.

I've decided to stick with the 7 I've written, simply because I don't think I'll have time to post more before the next prompt. I can always write more for other titles later and either just post to my journal or hold on to them for when there's a writer's choice week. Although, again, that would probably be cheating so i guess I'd just post them, lol! I might post the one you helped me with tonight, because I don't know when the next prompt will be up and I want to post my 7th tomorrow - it's a cracky little piece that I hope will brighten up a few people's Monday. I actually lost track of time a bit this morning and thought it would be Sunday tomorrow. Took me a while to work out it's already Sunday!

I like that is shows Ianto being adaptable, using different strategies for different people. It does make him seem a bit devious though. I think he told himself he was flirting with Jack just to distract him, but really he did it as much for the attention and human contact. He must have felt so lonely and isolated during the time he was hiding Lisa.

I used to think I'd never be able to write anything meaningful in just 100 words, and I really admired those who could, but one day I was having trouble with a short fic I was trying to write and it happened to fit that week's drabble challenge, so I cut out some words and posted it. The rest, as they say, is history. Now I've posted 96 drabbles since last September - some I'm more pleased with than others - and I think I'm slightly addicted! They're a lot of fun to write, though at times it's hard getting down to 100 words from whatever I start with!

Congrats! :) I just finished two drabbles myself today, though I don't stick to the 100 words rule; to me, everything under 500 words is definitely a drabble.

To me, 500 words or less is a ficlet, lol!

I like the challenge of the 100 word limit. Eventually managed two today that I'm reasonably happy with. Not my best ever, but still good enough to post. Of course, that makes 8 this week and I won't be able to post them all if I stick to one a day. Always making things difficult for myself!
