A/N: Sequel To ‘A Sticky Situation’

“Have fun!” Ianto smirked. He patted Nosy, carefully avoiding the gummy bits, and sauntered off.

“Oh, great. Come on you.” Owen headed for the autopsy bay, Nosy slinking along behind him.

Arranging Nosy on the autopsy table, Owen draped surgical cloths around the gummy areas, and prepared to start work.

Grabbing a blob of gum with his forceps, he applied an alien solvent and carefully started teasing the fur away. It was slow, painstaking work, but he didn’t want to cut off big clumps of fluff. Ianto was right, Jack would notice and then Owen would really be in trouble.

Poor Fluff! At least he's a good patient. That reminds me of a time my fluffy cat tangled with a fly strip. It was wrapped all around him and he was freaking out. I just had to hack at whatever fur I could reach to cut it off him. It was the worst pet haircut in the history of haircuts! I'm sure Owen will do a better job. (It could hardly be worse!)

Owen is working slowly to ensure minimal loss of fluff, that way Jack might never find out. He'll think twice about sticking used gum under the furniture in future, that's for sure!

Oh, your poor cat! That must have been a terrifying experience, tangled in something that wouldn't come off and that pulled at his fur... You had no choice but to take drastic action, but I imagine the rsults were less than attractive!

Good luck, Owen! With any luck your steady, practiced hands will save you. I sure wouldn't want to be the one to explain to the Captain why his precious Fluff now has bald patches, or why I was using the furniture as a gum disposal!

It was the worst day of Loverboy's (the fluffy cat) life. The poor thing tore around the house in terror for about half an hour, trying to escape the strip, which somehow he'd managed to get wrapped all the way around him from end to end, including his tail--no idea how he managed that! I finally cornered him in a window sill and he'd let me cut a little, then try to swat me. It took ages until it was all gone, but once it was, he calmed down and sauntered to the bed for a well-deserved nap. Cats!

He was probably exhausted from all the racing around. Trouble is, you just can't explain to a cat that you're trying to help and it will be over faster if the cat just stays still.

I suspect if Nosy ended up bald, Owen would wake up with bald patches himself.

Nosy has opted to take a nap as it looks like it will have to stay still for a while. Owen is using all his surgical skill to remove the gum with as little fluff-loss as possible, it's a tricky job!

It's a solvent that Owen's used many times before to remove various sticky substances from the team, it's good stuff and safe for Fluffs, so it won't turn Nosy a funny colour or anything, thankfully.

Well, if it doesn't work Owen could always shave all his hair off, in order to keep Jack from doing it. At least then he'd know it would look decent and not like he had some sort of electroshock therapy. LOL!

Thankfully, I don't think it'll come to that, only is doing his best to keep fluff-loss to a minimum, hopefully it won't show.

It's a very good solvent, Owen uses it on himself all the time when he gets covered in sticky gloop from various alien corpses ;)

Funny as always! I hope Nosy doesn't look too bad after some fluff removal. Why will Jack be mad, I must have missed something. Has he go a thing for Nosy too?! LOL! Just kidding! You know how wicked Jack can be. :D

Jack would be mad because Nosy is his Fluff as well as Ianto's and he doesn't want any harm coming to it. Finding out that Owen has been careless with chewing gum that then left Nosy looking all tatty would definitely NOT go down well with him. After all, would you be happy if someone cut patches of fur off your cats?

Thankfully, there was very little loss of fluff, it doesn't show at all, so Jack will probably never know about the chewing gum either. Ianto will keep quiet about it because he can blackmail Owen by threatening to tell Jack. Ianto is evil like that!

I think Jack is out on a retrieval mission, otherwise he would want to know what's going on. Owen had better get Nosy cleaned up before Jack gets back!
