Doctor Who Drabble: Like Old Times

Title: Like Old Times

Summary: He looks different, and yet he’s still the same.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Doctor Who, or the characters.





He looked completely different from the last time Sarah Jane had seen him; different face, different hair, different voice, and yet she felt as though she would have known him anywhere.


Stick her in a roomful of strangers and she was certain she’d be able to tell which one was the Doctor within a few minutes, because despite the changes in appearance and mannerisms, there was still something indefinably familiar about him, like he radiated an aura of some kind.


Working with him was familiar too. Just for a little while, Sarah Jane could almost believe she was young again.

I don't know why the Eleventh Doctor didn't mention he had a granddaughter with the same name in "A Small Town Called Mercy".

Both Nine and Eleven have talked to a cat. I like that the Doctor can have a proper conversation with animals. Us humans can only have a one-sided conversation.

I'm just saying that it was a wasted opportunity not to reference Susan on screen. That's just my opinion.

Cats can do tricks, they just choose not to. That's my theory.:)

There's a cat called Didga in the Guinness World Records. She can skateboard, forward roll, do a trust fall, amongst other things.

My first cat like to spin around on a swivel chair.:)

Anyway...

Didga is a cat. She can also flush the toilet after she has used it. It can take between one week or up to eighteen months for her owner to teach a trick, depending on how challenging it is.
