Drabble: Sore

Summary: A grievous error in judgement has left Ianto in pain.

Ianto winced; even the slightest movement sent spikes of pain through his back, and his high-count cotton shirt felt more like sandpaper.


“What’s up with you?” Owen asked. “You’re movin’ like an old man.”


“Sore back,” Ianto replied shortly.


“Right, let me see. I’m a doctor, remember?”


Sighing, Ianto reluctantly removed jacket, shirt, and tie. Owen whistled; Ianto’s back was red and raw looking. “That’s gotta be sore. You been out in the sun without usin’ sunscreen?”


“No. It’s not sunburn.”


“So what did this?”


“Let’s just say having sex on a nylon carpet is a very bad idea.”


“Ouch!”

OUCH indeed| Few things worse than carpet burns, especially on delicate parts of the anatomy. Jack will kiss it better, and they'll both enjoy that.

Jack will be very sad when he finds out. Ianto didn't tell him. There will be a lot of kissing better and Owen will give Ianto a lotion that Jack can apply to make his poor back better.

Further thought, I also see Jack shopping for a new [wool] carpet. Much better for Ianto's delicate skin - and Jack's

I'm thinking the carpet came wit the flat Ianto rented when he came to Cardiff. Maybe Jack will persuade him to move somewhere nicer ;)
