Back at the Hub, Jack and Ianto set their burden down beside the rift pool.
“That came through the Rift?” asked Owen.
“Yep. Don’t poke it.”
“Why would I want to poke it?”
“Because it turns pretty colours when poked,” Jack replied.
“Okay, so then why shouldn’t I poke it?”
“He doesn’t like it.” Ianto set a plate of pebbles beside the triangular lump.
“He? It’s alive?”
“Yeah, we only found out when Jack started poking him. Apparently sunlight makes him very sleepy.”
“What are the pebbles for?”
“Dinner,” their new guest rumbled, opening its single eye and grinning toothily.

Not sure where the pebble thing came from, I could just see Ianto with a plate of pebbles - after all, he seems to do all the feeding, whether it's the weevils in the cells or the team demanding pizza!
Thank you!

Date: 2013-05-01 04:03 pm (UTC)On the bright side, Bob (as I've named the new alien) is at least sentient and doesn't take much caring for. He might even prove to be a good conversationalist, if no one minds waiting a while for a reply. Life for Bob is rather leisurely, his species are never in any hurry.

Date: 2013-05-01 09:06 pm (UTC)Hmmm, therapist, intriguing idea. Bob IS a very good listener - he listens more than he talks. I'm sure he's good at keeping secrets too. ;)

Date: 2013-05-11 07:20 pm (UTC)You got a fantastic imagination.
Jack always says the most important: I understand it, is as important lesson: do not sting.
Ianto really provide any kind of food: LOL. It is totally unmoved. it really is the perfect handyman. The best in the world. But why I can not have one like him at home??
Of course, this implies that it has a Jack: I'm not against it;-)

Thank you!
I don't know where my ideas come from, they just appear. I've always had a vivid imagination though.
