Summary: Donna wishes her grandfather was with her.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Doctor Who, or the characters.




Back home, Donna had often gone to the allotments with her grandfather late at night, sitting outside his little shed in all kinds of weather, staring through his telescope as he showed her the wonders of the universe. Constellations and planets, comets, meteor showers, and a total lunar eclipse; he’d seemed to know so much.


Thinking back on those times, she wishes he could be here with her now, and not countless light years away on earth, sitting in the dark, stargazing. He belongs here, actually out among the stars and seeing everything firsthand. She knows he’d love every minute.

Oh, Wilf would absolutely love it! He's got such a special relationship with Donna... and the Doctor, too, for that matter! He's got their number....

Yes, he does... too bad Donna couldn't be there with him to share it and could never be told. I loved his reaction to the TARDIS, "Could be a little cleaner!" I think that was the most unique reaction I'd ever seen.

Me, too. Wilf, like Donna, called it like he saw it.

I'm sure Ianto would make it nice and clean if he got the chance. Then Wilf would approve fully ;)

It is a shame Donna couldn't see his reaction, or share it with him. They had a similar outlook on life,and Wilf always supported Donna in a way her mother never did.
