Fic Of The Week - Week Sixty Six

Hi and hope everyone's enjoying the holiday! I was going to rec an Easter themed fic this week, but the journal it was on has been deleted *sigh* Ah well, I have a little goodie from invisible_lift for you this week instead.

Adam is in 6 parts and has nothing whatsoever to do with the episode of the same name; it was first posted back in September 2007.

Notes/Summary: Based on/inspired by a very short vignette of the same title I did in June and promised some folks I'd come back to after finishing "Hatful of Hollow." So yeah, here it is.

I've been meaning to read this for a long time; the vignette it's inspired by is one of my favourite short fics and one of the most heartwrenching things I've read in this fandom. No idea if this will have a happy ending or not, so apologies in advance and I'll leave a big box of tissues here just in case.

I'd only read the vignette that inspired it - one of my absolute favourite short fics in the fandom, which I re-read regularly even though it always rips my heart to shreds. The long version is just as heart-wrenching, but at least it has a happy (and hopeful, for me at least) ending. You really can't go wrong with invisible_lift 's fics. He's one of the legends of the fandom.
