Returning to the Hub after investigating a Rift flare, Ianto entered from the garage with Jack trailing behind him, dripping slime.


“You’d better take a shower,” Ianto called back over his shoulder. “And after that you can clean up the mess you’ve made of the SUV.”


Jack muttered something and Ianto spun around, hands on hips. “Don’t you take that tone with me, Jack Harkness! This is your own fault, I told you not to get too close, but no, you just had to poke it with a stick, didn’t you?”


“I didn’t know it would explode!”


“You do now!”

Lol, surely that's got to be like rule #23 - never poke the aliens.
Methinks Ianto needs to revisit the list and add it if it's not already on there. I mean, that's just fundamental.
Jack deserves whatever punsihment he gets for being so silly.

Yes, I think Ianto needs to write a list of Dos and Don'ts, not just for Jack but for the rest of the team. they will do silly things...

Jack is feeling grumpy and Coat is disgruntled.

Silly Jack. He should know better. When Ianto's done with him he'll be very sorry. And have to clean the SUV. Poor Coat is the one that suffered most Ianto will make all better

Coat is grumpy. It can take whatever's thrown at it in the line of duty, but this was unnecessary, caused buy Jack doing something stupid. It'll take time before he's forgiven.
