Summary: Aliens are trying to invade earth again.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.





Team Torchwood are old hands at dealing with invasion attempts; there have been so many they’ve become routine. This one, however, is a little out of the ordinary.


The aliens broadcast their intentions from orbit, so the team get a good look at what they’ll be dealing with while Tosh translates their message. The fleet is landing and the people of Earth are to surrender immediately.


It’s a bit anticlimactic; the fleet does indeed land on the Plas, but that’s as far as the invading force gets because somebody steps on it.


It’s hard to judge actual size from pictures.

Yeowch. The poor fools. Come all that way just to get stepped on? Maybe they should have done their research before coming to Earth!

This is the first time I've ever heard of that the phrase, "Pick on someone your own size" could actually play out in reverse!

And this has totally got my wheels turning again!

*grins* Thank you! They really were being a bit overambitious, but Torchwood aren't complaining. all Ianto has to do now is scrape up what's left and dispose of them properly. I wouldn't want to be the person who stepped on them though. Now they have to clean their shoe.

Ew. Stepping on an alien invasion force...ughghgh, that would be pretty disgusting. I didn't think about that. O.o I'm not sure if that's better or worse than stepping in anything else (particularly if they were some poor sucker stuck walking behind a horse in a parade). Probably marginally worse, given that lives would be lost. But, then, whoever stepped on them saved the planet, so now I'm not sure, lol!

They probably better confiscate that person's shoe, just to be safe. Maybe Torchwood can reimburse them.

It would be pretty disgusting, but I'm sure Ianto will come up with an idea to make sure they don't have any survivors caught in the tread. Wouldn't do for them to get away! Even teeny tiny aliens could cause problems. Of course, the person is an unintentional hero who saved the planet - possibly. The spaceship will have to be collected and studied. Once it's been checked for occupants and made safe, Tosh could have it as a paperweight.

*falls over giggling* OMG. An alien invasion has been reduced to a paperweight! I'm half-afraid of the diplomatic implications, if their home world should hear about that.

Oh, I don't think it would go too badly.

Alien Ruler: "Always said one day Commander Splerlifoo would try to invade the wrong planet. He never did have any sense. I hope you won't be billing us for damages."

Jack: "Not this time, but we are keeping his spaceship. It makes a nice desk ornament for my tech expert."

Alien Ruler: "Desk ornament?" Gulp. "Just how big ARE you people?"

Jack: "Oh, only about three million times bigger than you."

Alien Ruler: "Okay, bye!" Turns to aide. ""We are never going anywhere near that planet!"

Just goes to show that if you're planning on invading, it pays to do your homework first!

Some aliens just believe so strongly that they're superior to everyone else, it would never occur to then that they might be biting off more than they can chew.

At least it was quick, they never knew what hit them.

Well, not personally - I'm not QUITE that old *grins*

Humans used to have some very strange beliefs, but mostly we've ;earned better. Unfortunately we don't learn the important things, such as that everyone on this planet is the same beneath the skin and deserves to be treated with respect.

Evolution is still going on. Education helps as long as people have the right attitude. Some people just don't want to know.:(

That's true, we can only hope people get the right information and learn the right lessons from it, those of tolerance, acceptance, and understanding.
