Ianto was not happy with Team Torchwood.

“Look at this mess! Has anyone actually thrown anything away in the last week? Or bothered to wash a single dish? And Jack, I can’t even see your desk under all your unfinished paperwork! I take a week off to help Archie catalogue the backlog of alien artefacts that have built up, and this entire place goes to Hell! What have you all been doing while I was away?”

“We’re sorry.” Jack turned on the puppy eyes.

“You will be! Decaf instant until this place is tidy, understand?”

Everyone groaned.

“Loud and clear.”

Uh-oh! Ianto is back and boy is he pissed. It's going to take more than Jack's puppy-dog eyes to get the team out of this mess. Literally! :-p

Lol! Yes it will, they're all bad puppies and Ianto is very cross with them!

I had NO ideas for this prompt, so I just opened a word document and wrote for about 5 minutes and got this. Not my best work, but not bad either for a rush job! The entirety of my editing was to delete a sentence, then add one word to get 100. One of the easiest drabbles I've ever written considering I didn't even know what I was going to write until I wrote it. No idea where it came from. *is baffled by the art of writing*

Amazing! It's funny how that works. I've had similar experiences--sometimes I agonize over drabbles for hours, writing and rewriting, and then sometimes they arrive perfectly formed in 100 word-packages.

I don't get it either. In fact, the more I write, the less I understand the process. :-p

I'd been thinking about the prompt all week, ept trying to make something happen in my head, but nothing was happening. I started to panic late last night, thinking I was going to miss the deadline if I didn't come up with something or worse, not write a drabble this week 0_0 But it's okay, panic over.

I'm just really, really hoping for a one word prompt this week, the last few prompts have left me feeling frazzled.

Very true, and it's something you'd think the team would have learned by now, but apparently not - and Ianto isn't going to accept any excuses either! The good coffee will be withheld until the team clean up their mess.

I noticed that there seemed to be fewer drabbles this week, I just thought everyone else must be waiting until the last minute, lol! It's a tough prompt. At first sight it doesn't look that hard, but... I don't know, it just didn't inspire, I couldn't even think of any canon moments, despite wracking my brain for days. *shrugs*

I'm enjoying writing drabbles. It's something I thought I'd never be able to do, writing something in just 100 words, but it's a lot of fun! I'm aiming to write 100 of them this year.

It's about time they appreciated Ianto, but I think he'd be just as happy if they simply cleaned up after themselves in future - he has better things (such as Jack) to do with his time, lol!

Thank you, glad you liked it! It was kind of a rush job, I was almost out of time and had no ideas whatsoever so I just started writing, and amazingly I got a drabble!

I have an idea of what to do this week, but haven't had time to write it.

I have splashes of coffee on my screen and trying not to laugh like crazy at this delightful drabble! Even though a lot of stories are fan-generated, ones like this really fill in things about Torchwood that the writers miss. Daily little items that have some basis in canon but talented writers can pull out and you just know something like this happens at the Hub. I'm enjoying your stories and I really hope you're going to do more. :D This'll teach me to neglect my LJ!

Oh dear, sorry asbout the coffee! There should be a warning on some of my fics I suppose.

Thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying them. I'm still busy writing, a lot of drabbles and some short fics. I've managed not to miss a weekly drabble prompt since I started writing them last September so hopefully I can keep that going. I even occasionally write episode-based drabbles, though those tend to be rather angsty.

I'm working on several fics at the moment, but the plot bunnies aren't cooperating too well with those so I've ended up writing other things this week.

All sorts of things happen on LJ all the time - you probably have a lot to catch up with. Hope you continue finding things to enjoy!
