Dee stalked into the precinct, face like thunder. He and Ryo had been out to Queens to question the family of a possible suspect.

“What happened?” JJ radiated concern as he rushed over to make sure Dee was unhurt

“Bloody mutt should be kept on a leash,” he snarled, brushing JJ off.

“A dog? I thought you liked dogs! Did it bite you?”

“No,” Ryo smirked, “it just chased him up a tree. He wouldn’t come down until the owner took it indoors.”

JJ’s eyes were like saucers. “What was it? Rottweiler? Doberman?”

Ryo shook his head, laughing. “A Chihuahua!”

I'll bet that was a sight to see! If Bikky had only been there...

And being compared to a cat so often had to catch up with poor Dee eventually! Can't say I blame him, though; I'm not too fond of Chihuahuas; had a lousy run-in with one when I was about eight. I love medium-sized dogs, and I love big ones, but the small ones irritate me, and scare me a little. The jerks next door have this Yorkie that just won't shut up. And Mom and I nearly hit it one night coming back from looking at Christmas lights, since their gate has a gap wide enough for it to get through.

Small dogs can be very yappy, though I've known some nice ones too.

I hadn't thought of that - cat Dee treed! LOL! I'm sure Ryo won't be able to help himself, he'll tell Bikky, and then Bikky will make fun of Dee the next time he sees him. I almost feel sorry for Dee, lol!

He should have taken pictures! OMG--I just had a horrible (in the most delightfully devious way) idea. Ryo could totally have taken pictures, and then used them as blackmail--though I'll admit I have no idea what a sweet, naïve guy like him would do with something so priceless. But I'm sure Dee would do a lot to make sure Bikky never found out!

Ryo is too sweet-natured to do that, although he'll most likely let slip to Bikky because he often doesn't realise what he's saying until it's too late. If the rles had been reversed, Dee would have taken pictures if he could have stopped laughing for long enough, lol!
