Summary: PC Andy gets a very unexpected offer.

PC Andy Davidson wasn’t under any illusions; he knew he was just an ordinary copper, one of many patrolling the streets of Cardiff. There was absolutely nothing that made him more important or more special than any of his fellow constables, which was why he was confused.

“Say that again?”

“Torchwood’s recruiting; are you interested? It’s a simple question, PC Davidson; all you have to do is answer yes or no.” Harkness stared him down.

“Are you kidding? Why would anyone say no? Of course I’m bloody interested.”

“I was hoping you’d say that. Welcome aboard; you’ll fit right in.”

I'm assuming he'll fit right in because Gwen is no longer there (for whatever happy reason)?

Because if Gwen is still there she will not be happy sharing the shiny with someone she thinks is beneath her (but who is actually smarter, more mature, and more adaptable than she is) ...

Now I want to know where Gwen went to ...

I was kind of seeing this as in the Nosy-Verse, where Gwen is indeed still on the team (but wasn't too happy about Andy being recruited, she had to get over that). BUT, I wrote a drabble not long ago where Gwen disappeared after foolishly picking up an unidentified piece of alien tech. She was never found, so maybe that's why Jack recruited Andy!

How soon do you think your new drabble comm will be up and running?

I'm hoping by the end of the month. I think I'll be posting new prompts on Saturdays, which is a day I have more available time and it'll also mean I'm not clashing with other challenges. I'm just fine-tuning the rules at the moment, trying to make sure I haven't forgotten anything important.

I've never set up a community on my own before, so that will be an interesting experience. I just hope I don't make a mess of it!

Me too, Andy was a great and sadly under-used character, he would have been so much fun, we could have had three-way snark from Ianto, Andy, and Owen! Plus, maybe Andy would have been interested in Tosh and either made her happy himself or got Owen so Jealous that he asked Tosh out.

That sounds like a cool idea!. Tosh could handle all the testosterone. Now I feel cheated that this never happen. There is always fanfic I guess.

Indeed. Thank heavens for fanfic, where all the things that should have happened get to be explored!
