Summary: It’s a beautiful day, and everyone is happy, except for Dee.

Word Count: 150

Written For: FakeSailorFan’s prompt ‘Charity’.

A/N: I borrowed a scenario from the wonderful fake_2nd_chance roleplaying community. If you’ve never read the entries there, I can’t recommend it too highly. Check it out here.

The weather was glorious, sun shining in a clear blue sky, as crowds of happy people wandered from one attraction to the next. Everything was perfect.

Dee was in hell; the queue for his stall was endless, and an all-too-familiar person was once again standing right in front of him, smiling brightly and holding out his money.

Dee shut his eyes, took a deep breath, and tried to remember that this was all for a good cause. The proceeds from the 27^th precinct’s summer carnival were going to Mother’s orphanage to pay for a badly needed new roof, so every cent counted. As much as he wished he could, he couldn’t afford to turn anyone away.

Plucking JJ’s money out of his hand, he glared stonily at the smaller man and prepared to get smooched half to death. Whoever had volunteered him for the kissing booth was a dead man!

Yes, Dee is in Hell, but it's for Mother so he has to grit his teeth and let JJ spend a week's wages kissing him, lol!

The community is a delight, it starts before they get together and goes through all kinds of events from the manga and beyond. I spent ages reading through it. It's inactive now, but still a great read with a bunch of people taking the roles of the characters. They did a great job and some of it is just hilarious =D

I'm totally going to have to read through the whole thing, then; I didn't get past the most recent entries, but it looked pretty fun. :D

Very possible, unless Dee ran to Mother for comfort from the trauma. Ryo would go with him perhaps, and explain while Mother fusses over traumatised Dee. ;)

They really were, it's such a shame that eventually they started to drift away and the game came to an end. It must have been fun to take part.

I was in a Monkees/Beatles one with a handful of friends of mine in 2000/2001, and it was much the same way. We had a lot of fun with it, but people eventually started to lose interest. It was really a shame.

Also, I'm picturing Ryo glaring and Drake looking like a sad puppy as they watch.

I'm envisioning JJ spending at least a week's wages on kissing Dee. It's his last fling, because in my head this is not long before JJ accepts that he'll never have Dee and turns his attention to Drake instead.

Ryo is torn between amusement at Dee's situation and jealousy because he wants to be the one kissing Dee. Dee's not responding to JJ's kisses though so it's bearable for Ryo. Drake feels weird watching but doesn't understand quite what he's feeling yet.
