Summary: Alone in the Hub while the rest of the team are out, Ianto is baffled by weird noises.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.

There were strange noises coming from somewhere in the deserted Hub as Ianto emerged from the archives. He knew the others were out and wouldn’t be back for a while, so where were the sounds coming from?

Ptah! Ping!

There they were again! Silence descended for a few moments, followed by those weird sounds.

Ptah! Ping!

Baffled, Ianto went to investigate, finally coming across Nosy who was eating something, and as Ianto watched…

Ptah!

It spat a cherry stone across the kitchen where it pinged off the rubbish bin. Ianto sighed. Why did Nosy have to copy Owen’s bad habits?

Me too. He wasn't my favourite character, but I still liked him. He was a good and caring doctor despite not having a good bedside manner, and despite his attitude, he was dedicated to Torchwood.

That's like me with Sapphire and Steel. No keeping them trapped in a room forever. We just moved beyond that ending and created something we liked better. it's what fans do. :D

Oh, how could I have forgotten Sapphire and Steel, even briefly? I loved that so much, and only partly because of David McCallum. I really must find a way to see it again. Perhaps I'll have another try at finding the DVDs at an affordable price...

Fans are amazing at keeping their favourite characters alive! We love them more than their creators did.

Yup, although there aren't many of us writing S&S anymore. There are a couple of S&S communities, but they are pretty quiet most of the time. I try to shake then up now and again, but not much happens.

That's the way it goes for some fandoms. I'm practically the only person these days actively writing FAKE Fic on a regular basis. One other person is writing a couple of multi-chapter fics that get updated occasionally, but for the most part it seems to be just me. Fandoms come and go, all we can fo is try to keep the old ones alive in case new people come along.

Not many people do. It's a Japanese manga about two New York cops. I only discovered it through a Torchwood/FAKE crossover series, but I got hooked on the characters, bought the manga, and suddenly started getting bunnies... Fandoms sneak up on you.

Yep, that's my boys. Ryo is at the front, he's half Japanese and is SUPPOSED to have chestnut hair, but half the pictures in colour show him looking like more of a honey blond. Dee is at the back - black hair, green eyes, and an unstoppable lust for Ryo. They're so much fun to write but the fandom is practically dead, which is a shame. I'd love to have new stories to read but they're few and far between.

Boy, I know that feeling. For a while, I was writing 'Invisible Man' stories and it was pretty much just me. I still love the character of Daniel Westin, but lack the energy these days.

I have fond memories of that series with Daniel having to strip naked and remove his mask and hands to be invisible =)

It was my first experience with DMc and that's when I fell in love with him. It was funny that Danny always seemed to have a cold :P

I remember the show, but only vaguely. I never watched it.

I was a fan of Ben Murphy from Alias Smith and Jones, so I watched, but I think it was a short-lived series, probably made in the wake of Invisible Man.

Not surprising he always had a cold when he was naked out in all weather, lol!
