Summary: A multi-storey car park is a big place to search…
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: I managed to get one done quickly this week!
Ianto and Jack moved slowly through the dimly lit car park, looking around carefully, peering into dark corners. They made a full circuit of the level they were on then returned to the stairs, climbing to the next level and beginning their search anew.
It was a large area with a lot of ground to cover, but it was taking far too long and after searching five levels, Ianto was not in the best of moods. It had seemed funny to start with, but now…
“Why the Hell didn’t you take note of where you’d parked the bloody car, Jack?”

Date: 2012-11-27 11:14 pm (UTC)Jack gets distracted easily. Ianto wasn't with him when he parked it or the car wouldn't be lost; he probably parked there, then went to meet Ianto.

Date: 2012-11-27 11:20 pm (UTC)Where I used to work we had two office car parks a couple of streets apart. I almost always parked in one, but on one occassion I had to park in the other. At the end of the day I left the office and walked to the car park chatting and not paying attention. When I got there I realised my car was in the other car park. I felt like such an idiot!

Date: 2012-11-28 06:18 am (UTC)i have to say i think i'm one of the few who never lost the car. as a kid i had medication that had to be kept cold and taken on time so it lived in an ice box in our car. from the age of about 6 i carried a copy of the car keys and we had a code we'd all write on ourselves to tell us the floor and the exact space! i'm probably the only kid that knew their parent's registration number before their phone number lol

Date: 2012-11-28 11:57 am (UTC)I've never lost a car like that either, I always knew the registration number of all our cars too (we didn't have a phone until I was 17, so I didn't have to remember that!). My dad lost the car in a multi-storey once, and my sister and mother couldn't even find the car park once when I took them shopping, but I can always find my car. Except once just after I got my first car and went shopping in it, then started walking home without it because I forgot I'd been driving when I left the house...

Date: 2012-11-28 11:41 pm (UTC)Back when I lived in Arizona I sometimes walked, sometimes biked, sometimes bused and in later years sometimes drove and well, more than a few times over the years I would start off home with the incorrect assumption as to how I had started my travels that day.
So now that Jack is ready to take his beautiful Ianto he is no longer focused on so mundane a memory as how he arrived, but he needs to get his head in the game since he is wasting valuable snogging time.
thankx for another smile

Poor Ianto. But,he must be cute of exasperation!
I bet Jack did it on purpose :for see his expression or for the punishment to come ....
;-)))

Date: 2012-11-29 07:01 pm (UTC)Ianto looks very cute when he's exasperated, but it spells trouble for Jack. I think Jack is frustrated too, he thought he would take Ianto home for some hot and steamy fun, but now the car is lost and Ianto is getting cross. Jack thinks he might be spending the night on the couch, he's starting to get worried! Lol!

Date: 2012-12-03 03:17 am (UTC)Just saying Hi J! ....and I'm still alive!...barely...Christmas is high stress time for me + all this other mess going on in my life. Sorry I haven't posted to you in ages. My depression has gotten worse. It is so hard to make myself do anything. I hope you are ok.
I saw a physical therapist last week and it went really well! She said to me, "Did you know your hips are out of alignment?" I was stunned, my mouth hanging open. I had no idea! She said could be the main cause of my pain. I also found out that my whole body is so tense. I thought I was fine until she started rubbing my thighs. It hurt, I thought she was trying to kill me. She wasn't rubbing as hard as I thought, she said that was my muscles all tensed up. My legs even turned red where she was rubbing them. She said she was breaking up the muscles. I was sore afterwards. She wants me to do a deep breathing technique, which I have kind-of started, but I need to really get serious about doing it each night for 10 minutes. She also wanted me to practice a relaxation techique I used years ago to realax my whole body. I pictured myself floating on ocean waves while I listened to a CD of ocean waves, water hitting the banks. I got really good at it. I don't know why I stopped doing it. I am also on a drug Amatriptilyne for pain and it has helped a lot. I really have high hopes that this lady is really going to be able to help me. :)
Sorry, posting on your LJ again.
How are you doing? Are you looking forward to Christmas?
love Deb.

Date: 2012-12-03 11:19 am (UTC)Everything is a bit chaotic here. Misty rabbit isn't doing too well and he's having dental surgery again tomorrow. I'm hoping I'll feel up to going shopping after I drop him off at the vet, so I can finally post your birthday card (dreadfully late, I'm so sorry!) and your christmas card. It's just been manic having the fire to clear out twice a day and giving Misty 3 kinds of medicine twice a day, and trying to get all the family birthday cards made (why do so many people have their birthday just before christmas? It's really difficult getting everything done!). Plus, my health isn't great at the moment. I feel like I'm running in circles, not getting anywhere! Maybe I'll be more organised next year. Ha! I always say that, but I never am! I used to be so organised when I was younger. *sigh*
Keep doing your breathing and relaxation! Love and hugs, J xxx

Date: 2012-12-06 06:21 pm (UTC)Things are going really well with the physical therapist. I went yesterday and my legs and arse is so sore! LOL! She really knows how to rub the kinks out! lol! I can already tell it is helping and I am starting my deep breathing and relaxations stuff now. I procrastinated last week. Things are just crazy + I think I needed time to absorb things and decide...ok, I AM going to do the relaxation techniques "every day." Yes I used to be good at doing them, then got out of the habit. I have never been this bad off though before. She says all those muscles connected with the pelvic floor, my butt, upper thighs, etc., lol!...and I am so wound up, it may take some time to unwind me. :)
Stopped the Amatriptilyne because the dry mouth from it is causing terrible sores and ulcers in my mouth. I have tried everything to make them go away including swishing warm salt water around in my mouth every day. It hurts to eat, especially anything hard or acidy. So my GYN is going to let my try the Gabapentin again, it was the mood stablizer that I thought I was really allergic too and now I know I was not. Just took my first p;ill, will let you know how it goes. It helps with my moods, but is used a lot for neuropathic pain now. I just hope I don't gain weight on it. I don't think that is a side effect, but it wasn't a side effect on Lamictal and over the years I gained 20 pounds. I am NOT going to be fat again! lol!
I sitting here with hair dye on my hair for the first time since Jan. of this year! I finally feel a little safer about covering up my gray. I am getting my usual soft curly permanent next Thur. My hair needs a week inbetween to rest at least. Can't get an appoinment any later because of Christmas. I hope I will look better this Christmas.
I' sorry it has been so crazy for you. Christmas can be such a stressful time for a lot of people, ME! lol!
I' sorry about your rabbit. I hope he will be ok. Our white cat petey has a skin cancer on his right ear, we think, and the vet said we may to let the cut off that ear so the cancer won't spread. Poor kitty! He had already lost his right back leg, falling out of tree onto our house, now this. Neo, taby, has been throwing up today. He's sick too. I hope it is just a little kitty bug and he will get over it. Oh, the vet gave Petey antibotics, a shot, so we would have have to try to get meds down his throat. That is so hard!
You sound stressed out. I hope things get better for you. I love Christmas morning, but all the stuff that has to be done before it makes me go crazy! I hate being under pressure. We need to start shopping and I always do the wrapping because Michael says he is no good at it. GEEZ! He's a good guy though, he boought us a new bigger tree and is helping us decorate it.
Must go wash out the dye now.
love ya!
Deb. :)

Date: 2012-12-06 07:03 pm (UTC)Yeah, I'm pretty stressed and feeling a bit crap - got to take Misty for his post-op checkup tomorrow, but he seems much better. The surgery on Tuesday went well. Even managed to do shopping after, so I have FINALLY posted your birthday card (and your Christmas card, I decided it would be better to post them together, they're in separate envelopes inside a big brown one). So sorry for the long delay, hopefully I'll be more organised next year.
While I as out shopping, I came across some beautiful big doll's houses on sale, so when I'd got home with the shopping, I bundled mum into my car to go and look at them. She's wanted a doll's house since she was little and recently bought a small, rather battered one, but these were so much better, brand new and reduced in price, so mum bought one of the big ones for herself. It was reduced by £60 (probably something like $100 of your money). It's got to be put together yet as they come as flat-packed kits, but she's just so thrilled. I've already been buying miniature food and some furniture for it - I'm going to use the food myself as well for my action figures. I can send the Jacks and Iantos on a picnic, lol! I bought little sandwiches and cakes, paper plates, and tiny bars of chocolate! It's amazing what you can get for doll's houses these days. Next year I might try my hand at action figure theatre like
Love & hugs, J xxx

Date: 2012-12-30 07:19 pm (UTC)No, in my head they were driving an ordinary car because they were on a date. Jack dropped Ianto at the restaurant because they were running late, went to park the car, but his mind was clearly on the evening ahead, instead of on what he was doing! Ianto's going to have Tosh put a tracker in the car so they can find it in future!
Thank you, glad you liked it!
