Spoilers: Not really, as long as you know about Torchwood’s pet.

Summary: If you’re going to keep a Pteranodon as a pet, it needs to be trained.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.

One of Ianto’s first jobs on joining Torchwood Three had been to train the Pteranodon. If the prehistoric bird was to be allowed free range of the Hub, they couldn’t have her wrecking the place, attacking everyone, or making a mess everywhere. It had seemed an impossible task.

In reality, Myfanwy proved surprisingly intelligent. She quickly got the hang of using one corner of her aerie as her bathroom, and soon learned to only eat things coated in her special sauce.

Unfortunately, Ianto never quite succeeded in teaching her not to steal shiny objects.

“Should’ve called it ‘Magpie’,” muttered Owen.

Myf has to have some fun, it amuses her to watch people look for things she's stolen. Ianto's done a great job - of course - especially with the litter training.

Well, Myf helped a lot with the training, she is quite fastidious about her personal hygiene!

And yes, she definitely finds it entertaining when Owen especially is searching for things. It also ensures lots of visits from Ianto to retrieve the lost property in exchange for chocolate...
