2 Drabbles: The Way To A Weevil's Heart & A Weevil In Love

I decided to put both of these drabbles in the same post because they start more or less the same, but then go in different directions. I couldn't decide which to write so in the end, I just did both. Hope you like them!

A/N: Two similar drabbles, because I couldn’t decide which way I wanted to go with it. If in doubt, write both!

The Way To A Weevil's Heart

“I don’t get it. We went to so much trouble finding a suitable mate for Janet and they can’t stand each other! What’s the problem? They’re both weevils and Brad is quite the looker by weevil standards.” Jack couldn’t conceal his exasperation.

“To be fair, it’s not Brad’s fault,” Owen said wearily. “He fancies Janet, but she’s not interested. Her heart’s already taken.”

Just then, Ianto wandered in carrying several steaming mugs. “Coffee?”

Janet moaned softly, yearning towards the Welshman.

“Oh, you have gotta be kidding me!” Jack sounded shocked.

“Nope! She’s smitten.”

Ianto shrugged. “She really likes my coffee!”

A Weevil In Love

“I don’t get it. We went to all that trouble finding Janet a mate and they can’t stand each other! What’s the problem? They’re both weevils and Brad is quite the looker by weevil standards.” Jack couldn’t conceal his exasperation.

“To be fair, it’s not Brad’s fault,” Ianto explained. “He fancies Janet, but she doesn’t want him. Her heart belongs to someone else.”

Owen ambled in. “So, how are the lovebirds getting along?”

“They’re not,” Jack grumbled. “Ianto thinks Janet loves someone else.”

“Like who?” Owen sounded puzzled.

Hearing Owen’s voice, Janet purred seductively.

“Does that answer your question, Owen?”

Janet is fickle! I think she wants Ianto's coffee, but Owen's body because he's similar to a weevil, just a bit better looking, lol!

Yeah, poor Owen - he's Janet's ideal man, sets her little Weevil heart all a flutter! =P (She only wants Ianto for his coffee, which is probably a good thing as Jack doesn't want to be jealous of a Weevil!)

I still can't decide which idea I like best, though there's something to be said for a caffeine-addicted Weevil! I wonder if caffeine works differently on Weevils... maybe it makes them mellow!

Lol! Yes, Janet is fickle with her affections - she only wants Ianto when he has coffee with him, she finds Owen more Weevily attractive!

Brad is not really my idea, I've seen the name used before for male Weevils, it seems pretty much accepted that it's a Rocky Horror thing, so it seems to have become a kind of fanfic tradition. I can definitely picture Jack as the inspiration for the movie!

Lol! Yes, Janet has become thoroughly spoiled, she has much more refined tastes now, ordinary Weevils are no longer good enough for her, she's set her sights higher. After all, these humans are nice to look at and even Owen has better manners than a Weevil!

Janet has good taste! As for Owen, well, he looks a bit Weevilish and Janet did take his body for a test drive when Owen accidentally swapped bodies with her, lol!
