From the moment JJ first saw Dee, he’s been head-over-heels in love with Mr Tall, Dark and Dreamy; no matter what anyone else says, it’s not just a crush. He longs to have those strong, muscular arms around him, those deep green eyes gazing into his own, those knowledgeable hands exploring his body… He’s had countless dreams and fantasies about the life they’ll share once Dee finally accepts the inevitable, a life of romance and endless happiness, and he’s never given up because he’s always known that one day, his dreams will become reality.

His optimism kept him going through everything until today, but now, in the space of just a few moments, his whole world has come crashing down around him.

He’d gone up to the roof looking for Dee, intent on inviting the object of his affections to lunch, but Dee hadn’t been alone. JJ’s well aware that Dee’s been hung up on Ryo since the dark-eyed detective first stepped into his life, but even so, he never expected this.

They’re kissing, and it’s not one-sided. Ryo’s arms are around Dee, and when they pull apart a little, it’s to smile at each other, their body language so comfortably intimate it’s clear to JJ that they’ve been together for a while.

His heart breaks as he realises that despite all his hopes, the man of his dreams is never going to be his. Dee belongs to Ryo, body and soul, and there’s nothing JJ can do about it.

Poor JJ! It will be better for him in the end when he is finally able to move on, but it had be devastating in that moment.

Yes, his heart is shattered, but soon he will turn his attentions to Drake and find true and lasting happiness, so it all works out well in the end!

It's a good thing, because otherwise he would mope and pine and follow Dee around like a lost puppy... Oh, he already did that, didn't he? Well, it would be worse. He's going to be fine though, his obsession with Dee has kept him from living for too long.

Of course, it's a cruel realization for JJ, but at least, it will give him a chance to find love with someone else and stop longing for a man who would never love him.

It needed to happen because JJ was wasting his life. He deserves to be happy, but Dee would never be what JJ wanted or needed. He'll be better off when he sets his sights on Drake instead.

Everything conspired to make me late posting, it was just one of those days *rolls eyes*

Got a late hospital appointment on Wednesday so posting might be late again depending on what time I get home, but today was just a lot of annoying delays, everything taking longer than it should have, so I only got two pieces posted.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll be back on schedule, I usually post while Star Trek is on, but that's only on weekdays.

Sometimes on Sundays I try to post early because of the crystal auction on ebay that I like to 'attend', but I've been trying to write at least 1000 words a day this month (ans last month), and the writing took a long time today. I was doing drabbles - 6 for Doctor Who, then I wanted to finish off with some for FAKE and that's there things went slightly wrong. I ended up with a double drabble and a 309 word ficlet, which gave me a word count for this year of 104,999. I've added one more word to the ficlet so now I'm at 105,000 words now! Then the auction ran about 20 minutes longer than usual. I usually have my tea while that's on, but didn't eat until afterwards this week...

There is nothing wrong with 'attending' the auction.
I know that you get some really nice items.
Auctions always seem to run late.

I have been reading all of what you put up.
That is a lot of words, you had to write that last one.
I hope that you at least had a good tea:)

I'm trying not to put so much pressure on myself with writing now I'm soon going to be getting hospital appointments for tests, which will take time. This week is challenge week hough, so I'm trying to keep up with that.

I did get some nice crystals last week - all of them were green which struck me as funny. Out of everything available, I won four green ones.

ff.net is down at the moment so I can't reply to comments. I hope it will be back up in time for me to post tonight.
