Date: 2016-02-17 01:32 pm (UTC)There was a big black dog that followed me around once when I use to deliver catalogues. I was scared at first but then he (I assume it was a he) just walked next to me.
It was a hot day so when I got home I gave him some cool water to drink. Then he left. Never saw him again.
Nowadays, my neighbours cats come into my backyard. Meowing at my cats. They always run away from me. I can't exactly tell them to not be afraid me, they know I own cats!.

Date: 2016-02-18 01:46 am (UTC)I just hope that the dog wasn't lost. Probably just went for a walk about since he did look healthy. It was like having a bodyguard.

Date: 2016-02-18 07:49 pm (UTC)I prefer cats too. Some dogs are unpredictable and dangerous. Guinea pigs are cute. I haven't seen one up close though.
One time I looked after my brothers then girlfriends pet rabbit called Snowball but she ran away. She dug underneath the fence.
Rabbits have short life spans so I think she left because she knew it was time.

Date: 2016-02-20 01:50 am (UTC)A friend of mine had two rabbits that had to be put down for the same reasons and it was quite upsetting for her.
The reason I have two cats is because my first cat got lonely after she left. Although it took my cats a while to get use to each other. There was a big difference in size between them so I had to keep them separate at first.

Date: 2016-02-20 11:27 am (UTC)It was devastating having Misty put to sleep. It was the right thing to do, but it was only a few weeks after mum's stroke, so it was more sadness, but at least mum was able to say goodbye to him too. She really loved Misty, he'd had surgery on his teeth so many times, she always held him while I gave him his painkillers and other medicines.

Date: 2016-02-21 03:58 am (UTC)My first cat went through surgery a few times because he got in a fight with another cat. He was traumatized by the situation. My brother and I thought we might have to let him go.
