I think they're just from the same clutch of eggs, nest-mates.

Barn owls have lovely colouring, they're very pretty birds.

More birdies!!!! Yay! I love owls of all species. Looks like they're snogging. ;p Happy (a day late!) Valentine's Day, pet! Molly the Tortie Princess celebrated by eating her first bit of cake. I made a strawberry lemon cake in the shape of a heart. ;)

I live near a bushy area so I at least see cockatoos and parrots from a distance.

Theres a lot of cats in my neighborhood, including mine.

There are a lot of cats around here too, which doesn't do my birdies much good. This morning, one of next door's cats was eating the food I put out for the birds!

I love our native birds, they are so beautiful, even the little brown ones.

Cats can be naughty. I get annoyed with my cats sometimes but I easily forgive them. They act funny when their in trouble.:D

Cats are very lovable. I was adopted by a big black and white tomcat when I was a kid. He was never a housecat, but we fed him and he'd often meet me on my way home and walk home with me. Very strange cat! I loved him to bits, he was so gentle.

My sister's cat was a vicious little monster though!

Some cats are nice. Some are not. Before I adopted my cat's from the RSPCA, I use to play with cats from my old neighbourhood.

There was a big black dog that followed me around once when I use to deliver catalogues. I was scared at first but then he (I assume it was a he) just walked next to me.

It was a hot day so when I got home I gave him some cool water to drink. Then he left. Never saw him again.

Nowadays, my neighbours cats come into my backyard. Meowing at my cats. They always run away from me. I can't exactly tell them to not be afraid me, they know I own cats!.

I have to chase cats out of my garden to protect the birds and to keep them from eating things they shouldn't. I don't like doing it, but it's necessary.

Love your dog story. Poor thing must have thought you looked kind.

I scare cats but dogs either bark or follow me.

I just hope that the dog wasn't lost. Probably just went for a walk about since he did look healthy. It was like having a bodyguard.

I prefer cats to dogs, but I prefer guinea pigs to everything!

I think the dog was following me just for a cool drink. He was eyeing a water tap at one stage.

I prefer cats too. Some dogs are unpredictable and dangerous. Guinea pigs are cute. I haven't seen one up close though.

One time I looked after my brothers then girlfriends pet rabbit called Snowball but she ran away. She dug underneath the fence.

Rabbits have short life spans so I think she left because she knew it was time.

Rabbits live longer than you might think, some live to ten or twelve. My last one, Misty, had to be put to sleep October 2014 because he had serious health problems. He was eight and a half. My previous two rabbits lived, I think, eight and nine years. I loved all my bunnies. We've also had sixteen guinea pigs over the years. They often only live about four years, though again they can live for eight to ten if you're lucky. They're such characters!

Snowball was the last of her family and they only lived a few years. Maybe she just wanted to be on her own. She only let me hold her a few times and that was before she ran off. It was all part of her plan before she made her own "great escape".

A friend of mine had two rabbits that had to be put down for the same reasons and it was quite upsetting for her.

The reason I have two cats is because my first cat got lonely after she left. Although it took my cats a while to get use to each other. There was a big difference in size between them so I had to keep them separate at first.

It's always difficult introducing a new pet to an existing one, you never know how they'll react.

It was devastating having Misty put to sleep. It was the right thing to do, but it was only a few weeks after mum's stroke, so it was more sadness, but at least mum was able to say goodbye to him too. She really loved Misty, he'd had surgery on his teeth so many times, she always held him while I gave him his painkillers and other medicines.

My grey tabby sometimes gets carried away with grooming my short-tortoiseshell tabby and then they end up "boxing" with their front right paw. After a moment, they stop to look at each other, then slowly lower their paw and the fights over.

My first cat went through surgery a few times because he got in a fight with another cat. He was traumatized by the situation. My brother and I thought we might have to let him go.
