Summary: Being saved by Torchwood hasn’t improved Kathy’s mood.

Smug bastard! Harkness may have just saved her life, but that didn’t mean she had to like him.

“What is that, and what did you do to it?” she demanded, her voice fainter than she would have liked.

One of the Torchwood team, a guy in a suit, calmly walked past her, put a hood over the creature’s head, injected it with something, and hoisted it over his shoulder. He’d clearly done this before.

“Weevil,” Harkness explained. “They’re not from around here. With all due respect to Cardiff’s finest, you’re not equipped to deal with them. Leave them to us.”

Kathy doesn't get to see the "real" Jack, so of course she is going to be annoyed by him. Ianto is better at etiquette.

Jack puts on an act to distract people, he draws attention away from his team. That''s my theory anyway!

I can understand why Jack may act the way he does. Other's may not.

But other people understanding doesn't matter from Jack's POV, in fact it's better that way. If people are looking at him and being annoyed, they won't be watching what the team is doing.

I understand. Jack's main priority is the safety of people than how they feel about him. His not that vain.:)

It also means that people are less likely to focus on whatever it is Torchwood id busy dealing with so less retcon is needed. Jack IS very distracting, after all.

There should have been an episode of Torchwood that featured Jack going to the dentist. Or is his teeth like that because his immortal?. John doesn't get to smile much as Malcolm on the show Arrow.

Jack has perfect teeth because he's from the 51st century, teeth have evolved. They stay that way because he's immortal. ;)
