Summary: Kathy comes to some conclusions about the monster. They’re not comforting.

Part 1

Kathy was pretty good at staring contests; there wasn’t much that could intimidate her. She’d earned the respect of her colleagues in the Cardiff Constabulary by proving herself as tough as any man, able to stare down the most hardened rapists and murderers.

But this was different, this wasn’t some low-life human, wasted on drugs; in fact it wasn’t human at all, she’d bet a year’s wages on that.

And yet, it was no animal either; the creature’s eyes held a feral hunger, but also intelligence.

Nothing had ever scared her like this thing did; it didn’t belong on earth.

If only Jack could pop in with his. It usually happens at that crucial moment on screen.

Except that Jack's doesn't work most of the time because the Doctor keeps disabling it. If he hadn't. Ianto wouldn't have died.

How come everyone but Jack gets a working model? It's so unfair, especially since he has a legal right to use his, he's been trained for it.

Yeah. I suppose so. I always thought it abit harsh that the Doctor treated Jack that way. Eleven didn't do that to River.

RTD would have done something else as an excuse to kill Ianto off. Like Ten introducing Jack to Alonso was going to help him get over Ianto.

I hated that scene so much I included it in Through Time and Space, turning it into something completely different, at least as far as the outcome went.

RTD wanted to kill Ianto and everyone else who was more popular than Gwen.

I didn't realize how much Gwen got it easy until I looked backed on what happened to Torchwood. She survived all sorts of dangerous situations including a gun shot wound.

Made of Teflon, everything just slides off her. It was so ridiculous that every time she was in trouble someone saved her, but the others were never as lucky.
