Spoilers: The Runaway Bride.

Summary: The Doctor isn’t prepared for an unexpected visitor.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Doctor Who, or the characters.

It’s not possible, the TARDIS is in flight, it simply can’t happen! The Doctor’s so shocked that all he can say is “What?” and “But…” and “You can’t do that!”

The woman in the white dress doesn’t seem to be having the same problem with words, ranting about him kidnapping her, which he didn’t, he’s sure of that, and demanding to be taken back immediately. Which he’d be happy to do, because a loud redhead appearing unexpectedly in the TARDIS is the last thing he wanted, even if he didn’t know that until it happened.

This really isn’t his day.

This is one of the examples of what Twelve was referring to in "Deep Breath" when he was telling the dinosaur how he usually meet's "Girls". I think in old who, Tegan went into the TARDIS mistakenly because she thought it was an actual "police box". I'm not sure why the TARDIS let her in though. No offense to Tegan.:)

The TARDIS very definitely has a mind of her own. No one can get in if she doesn't want them to. Even so, Donna showing up in mid-flight must have been a bit disconcerting even for the TARDIS!

I think the if the TARDIS could have talked that time, she would have said: "WTF!"(Excuse my language).

What is it about villains who want to match make the Doctor with "Earth Girls"?. First Dalek Cann manipulated the timelines to bind Donna with Ten. Then second, we get Missy who was the woman pretending to be "Tech", that gave Clara the TARDIS phone number and that's how she met the Doctor.

Sometimes, I think the writers just try WAY too hard to come up with interesting ways for the Doctor to acquire companions. Better if it's just someone the Doctor happens to run into. Simple is often better, and more believable.

It was like a warped Sci-Fi version of "Perfect Match". It just left me wondering how exactly Donna and Clara were chosen?.

Dalek Cann: "I need someone who can type a hundred words per minute and will somehow feel compelled to touch the Doctor's spare hand at the right moment. He he hee...!.

Missy: "I need a control freak to handle the Doctor. Well look at me, I'm banana's..."

With Rose and Martha, the Doctor was already investigating something strange going on.

With Amy it was because her "Life didn't make any sense". The Doctor cannot resist a mystery.

I would have preferred that Donna and Ten met because it was a "Happy Accident", instead she was used as a ploy.

As for Clara that meant Missy could have chosen any "control freak".

Anyway, detail's, detail's. I should just stop analyzing the series's so much.:)

Meta posts can be fun! I don't have time to write any of my own though, too busy writing fanfic!

TV writers often overcomplicate things, then try to make them make sense after the fact. That almost never works, and it can scramble a fan's brain trying to figure it out. I've spent years trying to make sense of CoE, but it doesn't make any kind of coherent sense so now I write fix-its. ;)
