Bunny Blues
Jun. 29th, 2010 09:25 amJust dropped my rabbit off at the vet for dental surgery. Needless to say, I'm now sitting here worrying about him - it's a general anaesthetic and they're always risky, but it has to be done as his teeth have gone wonky AGAIN. This will be his third surgery in 5 1/2 years, all because the idiotic thing refuses to eat hay or grass or anything that would wear his teeth down. I've never known a rabbit to NOT like hay! Have to phone the vet at 3pm to see if he's ready to come home - until then, all I can do is wait and worry =(

Date: 2010-06-29 03:24 pm (UTC)He's home now - just collected him a little while ago - but he's grumpy, so he's just slumped in his house looking sorry for himself. Teeth are trimmed, so he should be comfy - well, as comfy as anyone can be after dental surgery - but they'll need doing regularly which is going to cost the earth! This time cost close to £200, and that's on top of the cost of his vaccinations. *sigh* Never had to pay out like this with my other rabbits.
