Halloween Charms
Halloween is only a few weeks away, so I've been playing around, making Halloween phone/handbag charms and a few pairs of earrings. I've made 24 charms so far and about a dozen pairs of earrings, which I haven't photographed because they're just metal charms on ear wires for pierced ears, but here's some of the charms.

I have some other charms on order, little witches and crescent moons, so I'll probably make a few more when they arrive. I love Halloween!

Yeah, writing has been an absolute godsend. Hard to think that this time last year I was in a really bad place (probably the worse it's ever been) and I had no idea how I was going to get out of the hole. I put myself in a three month online programme which helped up until the end where I got confident enough to reach back out to my ex best friend, only to have them shut me out, undoing three monyhs of hard work.
I'd never really written anything before then, I've always been rubbish with big stories and complicated plots, and figured short pieces had notihing meaningful to say. Amazing how much you can actually say in just 100 words. Still remember the first ever drabble I submitted at TW100 at Christmas. I thought I must have been insane. Now I don't know what I'd do with myself if I wasn't writing.

People just don't understand. My own best friend abandoned me after I started having problems with anxiety and depression. I never hear from her anymore even though she's married to my sort of boyfriend's brother *shrugs* Nearly all my friends these days are online, and most of them have their own problems. We understand and support each other, and it makes a tremendous difference.
As for writing, it provides an escape, a way of getting myself thinking of other things instead of my own problems. I'd be lost without it! I hope it's proving as helpful to you.
