Halloween Charms
Halloween is only a few weeks away, so I've been playing around, making Halloween phone/handbag charms and a few pairs of earrings. I've made 24 charms so far and about a dozen pairs of earrings, which I haven't photographed because they're just metal charms on ear wires for pierced ears, but here's some of the charms.

I have some other charms on order, little witches and crescent moons, so I'll probably make a few more when they arrive. I love Halloween!

those are all awesome, you are so talented.

Thank you!
They're quite lightweight - the webs are about an inch across but light enough to make earrings, which I've done with one pair =)

How are you? Haven't heard a peep from you in ages *hugs*

Work is keeping me busy, but this week is con week. So I get to geek out later this week.
How have you been?

Not great at the moment, had to go for blood tests this morning and I should get the results at the end of the week. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
Let me know if you want one of the Halloween charms I've been making, I've made more than 4 dozen already and when I get the rest of the charms I've ordered I'll be making some more =)

I would love one of those charms. I really like the ghost one.
Sorry for the late reply. In the middle of con frenzy.

I'll send you a ghostie! the others were posted out yesterday, so yours probably won't get posted for another week.
Blood tests came back normal, so we're still none the wiser about what's going on.

These are totally awesome.
I adore Halloween 🎃
Love always

I'm busy getting ready, already bought candy, I have my witches' hat from last year and Collin says he's got a cape I can wear. I've made little pumpkin charm earrings for me to wear, and the bag charms to hand out. Oh, and I have balloons! It's going to be fun =)
I'll send you a charm, just tell me which you'd like! I'm going to make some more.

*hugs tight*
T always dresses up to answer the door [tho I tell him he's scary enough without the mask! LOL] and I have my bats-in-bouncy-stalks-headband and cream with bats sweatshirt.
We'll have to swap pics after the event :))
Love always

I've made four of each design so far, four dozen charms already! I'll probably make another couple of dozen before I'm done!
It's a Saturday so I'll see if there's anyone around who'll be able to photograph me!
Feel better soon! *hugs* Love, J xx

Those look awesome, well done you! Another burgeoning hobby or something you've always done?
I used to make a ton of jewellry, even sold a few to family and friends, and still have a giant box full of finished pieces plus two giant storage crates full of beads and bits. Then depression came along and beat that little creative spark right out of me. Don't think I've touched any of it for at least three years. :(Â

I've made jewellery on and off for years, I have loads of dangly earrings and a few pendants lurking, among my other completed craft items. I've always loved making things. These are the first phone/bag charms I've made, and I used split rings rather than jump rings to attach them to the cords so they wouldn't be so easily pulled off since I plan to give them out with the Halloween candy. I was pleased with how well they've worked =)
I hope you get your crafting mojo back eventually, but at least you're being still creative by writing! I see writing as a kind of therapy, it's helped me a lot,

Yeah, writing has been an absolute godsend. Hard to think that this time last year I was in a really bad place (probably the worse it's ever been) and I had no idea how I was going to get out of the hole. I put myself in a three month online programme which helped up until the end where I got confident enough to reach back out to my ex best friend, only to have them shut me out, undoing three monyhs of hard work.
I'd never really written anything before then, I've always been rubbish with big stories and complicated plots, and figured short pieces had notihing meaningful to say. Amazing how much you can actually say in just 100 words. Still remember the first ever drabble I submitted at TW100 at Christmas. I thought I must have been insane. Now I don't know what I'd do with myself if I wasn't writing.

People just don't understand. My own best friend abandoned me after I started having problems with anxiety and depression. I never hear from her anymore even though she's married to my sort of boyfriend's brother *shrugs* Nearly all my friends these days are online, and most of them have their own problems. We understand and support each other, and it makes a tremendous difference.
As for writing, it provides an escape, a way of getting myself thinking of other things instead of my own problems. I'd be lost without it! I hope it's proving as helpful to you.

You can never have too many shinies =)
I've never made a pumpkin Jack O' Lantern, wondering if I should try that this year or not...

If you'd like a charm, just PM your address, I'm sending several already. I've made way more than I'll need so I may as well share with the online friends who've helped me stay sane the last few years with their support and their writing.

How small exactly are the charms? I'd love the skull with the crossed bones. I'm hosting a Halloween party this year and my boyfriend and I will both be pirates so it would fit perfectly to my costume! :D

The charm itself is 2 x 2 cm, so it's pretty small. Complete with cord, it's about 13.5 cm long, good for attaching to bags or as a zip pull.
I could put one on a longer cord as a necklace.
