In case anyone is interested, I am now on AO3 (as well as everywhere else, lol), thanks to

usakiwigirl who is all kinds of awesome!All 13 of my fics (I wrote 13? Wow!) are now available there as well as on here, dreamwidth and ff.net. I think I have all bases covered!
And to avoid confusion (mostly mine, because if I changed it I'd never find myself again), my name is the same there as it is here.

Date: 2012-09-06 04:40 pm (UTC)I copy and pasted everything onto AO3 so I could have the two Nosy-Verse fics I had to cut in half because of LJ back in one piece as they're meant to be. It was nowhere near as difficult as I expected - the fiddliest bit was filling in all the tags, pairings etc. and writing any relevant notes. I was quite pleased with the results and I've already had quite a few hits and even a few reviews. I'm happy.
Still wondering wehether I should have an account over on Teaspoon though - it's mostly Doctor Who, but it does have a Torchwood category... I believe in spreading the fluff around, lol!

The plus side is that the quality of the fics overall tends to be higher than on, say, ff.net. The downside is that it doesn't seem like many Torchwood fans actually go there. My three Doctor Who fics there have garnered more reviews than all my TW fics put together. And the interface that lets you upload fics is quirky and painstaking (Or at least it was, I've slacked off posting there in the last few months.) For what it's worth.

I think it's worth getting on AO3 if you can, but with a wait like that you might be better off putting out an appeal for an invite, see if anyone's got one to spare. You might get lucky.
Hmmm, thanks for the info on Teaspoon. I'll keep thinking about that. It still might be worth it to give Teaspooners a chance to read my fics if they want, especially as I'd then be able to review some that I've enjoyed. Worth considering, anyway.

Glad you're sticking to the same username, it makes finding people so much easier! I'll learn, I'm sure, just rather slowly.
ff.net was the first place after LJ that I set up in once I started writing. It has good and bad points but I do like being able to review over there if I read something good, and there are some good authors there who aren't on LJ. It's unlikely I'll have any rating problems over there with my fluff but for those who write things a bit more adult in nature it's not so easy. Still, I think ff.net is important, it gives young people a place where they can get into writing and improve their craft in a relatively safe environment. I just wish they had an MA category. In a way, they do, because there's adult ff.net, but I don't think many people go there.

Date: 2012-09-06 10:49 pm (UTC)A03's search engine isn't the most reliable, and I finally just searched the Torchwood feed until I found you! *gigglesnort* Just search the fandoms, and you'll likely find the authors you know. There's quite a few mutual friends who have gone to A03.
I wasn't aware there was an adult version of ff.net. I should consider looking into that, as I don't think there can be too many places to post stories. ;)
