Summary: A Rift alert results in something a bit different.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.

A Rift alert had led Jack and Ianto to Bute Park just as the sun rose. The sight that met their eyes was certainly not what they’d been expecting.

“Well that’s… different.” Jack cocked his head to one side, appraising the view.

Hands in pockets, Ianto nodded. “Looks like we’ve got some climbing to do. Suddenly I’m very glad I pulled my old jeans on.”

The trees before them were festooned in brightly coloured streamers of gossamer fabric, like there’d been an explosion in a chiffon factory.

“At least it makes a change from being showered with odd socks.”

“True.”

I'm having trouble with FF, again.

Chiffon, really.
As long as it does not attack.

Jack might have some ties made for Ianto.
At least it is before the rush hour.

You're not the only one having trouble at ff.net, which is why this isn't posted there. It's been wonky all day, I noticed this morning when I found I couldn't leave a review on Earendil eldar's new Valentine fic.

I'm thinking the chiffon, which could be scarves, will work great for tying each other to the bed - or anything else ;)

At least Ianto is good at climbing and is dressed for it. He'll probably quite enjoy himself!

I went to leave Earendil an review also.
I'm glad that it is not just me.

Scarves are good.
Bed tying is also good.

Jack would not mind Ianto climbing him.

LOL! I think they would both enjoy climbing each other!

I hope ff.net gets sorted by tomorrow. I'll end up with a backlog of things to post there. I have reviews I can't reply to as well, no doubt left before the site broke down. Mind you, today has been weirdly jinxed. Some very odd things have happened. One of my internet windows somehow got knocked off my screen, I couldn't see it at all. I had to keep closing and opening google chrome until I finally got an edge I could grab and drag it back on my screen. Bizarre, no idea how it happened.

And that was just ONE of the weird things. Then to cap it all, Teaspoon rejected my Doctor Who drabble because I used a comma instead of a semi-colon in the summary. How petty is that? I had to go through all the posting rigmarole again to set up a new story.

FF.Net is working again! YAY! I can post my drabbles there in a bit.

Considering that the last time Jack climbed a tree Ianto had to rescue him, it's probably safer that he 'supervises' from the ground. If the view happens to be rather nice, well, that's just a bonus ;)

Precisely the image I was aiming for, though truthfully it looks a lot prettier with the multitude of colours.

Untangling all the lengths from the branches is going to be quite a job, though they're only scarf-length, not massively long. Jack can think of a few things they can use them for ;)

It's very beautiful!

Tempting though it is to leave it, it's never a good idea to leave anything alien or possibly from the future laying around where people can get their hands on it, they don't know what kinds of problems it could cause. What it it turned out to be intelligent fabric?
