Hello, and a very happy festive season to all my friends!

It's Christmas day in Britain, and after battling with my camera for ages, I finally managed to get it to work for long enough to take pictures of my boys enjoying their Christmas breakfast (pretzels) and a full turkey dinner. They're going to be stuffed!

This year there are twelve as a new Ianto has joined the gang. He came from Cardiff where he probably used to stand all alone on a shelf. He's happy now because he has Coat Jack! Needless to say, Coat Jack is also very happy.

Here they all are having breakfast. There were only a dozen pretzels so Nosy had some grapes.

New Ianto is the one in front of the snowman. He has a teddy bear.

Here's the scene from the other direction.

Breakfast 2

I served their dinner before letting them into the dining room. There's gravy and cranberry sauce on the tables, and plenty more turkey and vegetables on the side tables so they can help themselves. There's also Christmas Pudding and Mince Pies.

I hope they're all hungry!

Dinner 4

Looks like they're all enjoying themselves! I hope you all are too!

MERRY CHRISTMAS, OR HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL! *HUGS*

Me too! Now I eat at least asparagus, some types of cabbage, bacon, and more fruits/vegetables in general. When I was little, my mum was pretty much at her wit's end at how to get any vitamins into me XD

I don't like gristle, but I have nothing against fat on meat; I like gnawing on ribs ^.^" I don't like fish/sea food, ground pork, beef from the cow (except for in Hamburgers), cheese, and any kind of innards. - Mum loves blood tongue *shudders*

Mushrooms are great! Chinese Wood Ear Fungi is great *yum*

Pity about the cheese, especially if you like it so! I only eat the one on pizza and a certain kind of cream cheese.

Hmmm! Asparagus is really yummy! I don't cook myself, only bake, but I could ask my mum for how to prepare it? I mean, I know that, when you buy it and will not use it on the same day, you need to put it into the fridge, wrapped in water soaked kitchen paper so that it won't dry out. Then, before cooking it, you need to peel it, best done with a peeler instead of a knife (so that the spear doesn't break. Also, you need to cut the end off, because it's usually dry and stringy.

The rest, I could ask mum about, as I said. It's really a great tasting vegetable, and pretty much a staple of Lower Saxony, with everyone eating it during the season, but the one imported from Peru (not Greece) is very tasty too :)

Out of season asparagus is not that common here either. I think most countries need to import it.
