Summary: What do you do with a machine that’s causing snow in an inconvenient place?

A/N: Ianto was getting upset about the snow in the archives damaging sensitive artefacts and ruining paperwork. He wanted something done about it, and you know I can never say no when he begs so sweetly…

Jack frowned at the bulky, heavy device they’d manhandled down to the archives the previous day. Tosh’s tests had indicated it was inoperative, but there it sat, glowing happily as snow fell around it. He folded his arms and frowned at Ianto.

“I hope you realise I don’t know how to turn it off either.”

“Figures. But yeah, I guessed that. I just need help moving it somewhere the snowfall won’t cause damage while we figure it out.”

“Now that I can do.”

Two hours later, Owen came haring up to Jack’s office.

“Jack, it’s snowing in the bloody showers!”

That's the important thing! They'll figure out how to turn the machine off, but they needed it somewhere safe so they can work on it more easily. Tosh will take a look once she's well wrapped up against the cold.

Jack and Ianto will be alright, they have Jack's personal shower. The others will have to brave the snowstorm until they find a way to turn it off. It's probably warmer outside than it is in the Torchwood showers.

Ianto can do without it making the Hub snow, lol! Thankfully it only affects a small area at the moment, they'll just have to be careful not to move any dials or they could end up with a blizzard over Cardiff!

Glad they got the alien tech away from the archives - Ianto wouldn't have been able to cope if it had stayed there much longer. Wonder if they forgot to tell Owen where it had been moved to on purpose?

Well of course it was deliberate! They do love messing with Owen, lol!

Snow in the archives could potentially do a lot of damage, Ianto had good reason to be anxious. I Just had to fix things for him, poor boy.
