Summary: Ianto is less than pleased when he comes home to a mess.

A/N: For the prompt ‘Home Wreckers’, one of the prompts I didn’t get around to using for tw100’s challenge 316 earlier this year. I’ve dug them out again to supplement the prompts I got from my f-list, just because there are still loads I wanted to use.

Ianto stood, hands on hips, glaring stonily at the two miscreants.

“Look at this mess! I can’t believe it, I leave you alone for an hour and this is what I come back to!”

Furniture was overturned, cushions scattered about, the rug was crumpled against the skirting board, dirty dishes and crumbs were strewn across the floorboards… It looked like a small tornado had swept though the house.

“What do you have to say for yourselves?”

Jack and Nosy hung their heads in shame

“We’re sorry, but there was this really big spider…”

Ianto just sighed and rolled his eyes.

I think it doesn't much like the big ones - they might get in its fluff, lol! Perhaps it had a bad experience.

Well, they say kids often learn their phobias from their parents, lol!

Can you imagine Nosy trying to jump onto the table to escape a spider?

ROFL! Now I have a mental image of the big, bad Captain and the long, sinuous alien fluff fleeing from a spider, crashing into things as they go... now that would be a sight!

I doubt Ianto finds it so amusing, however. Especially because this is just one more big mess he has to clean up!

I think he'll make those responsible do the clearing up. Nosy can pick up the plates and take them to the kitchen and do the vacuuming. Jack can set the furniture straight. Ianto will sip coffee and keep a lookout for the spider so he can evict it if it pops up again!

Hmmm, probably Jack was first and that made Nosy think there must be good reason to be scared. Next thing you know, there was Jack standing on a chair and a Fluff on the dining table!

I'm not too fond of them myself, I've been known to jump on a chair, lol! Of course, then I have to get off the chair and catch the spider because mum is more afraid of them than I am.

Ianto will save them from the spider - if he can find it - or save the spider from them, lol! I don't like them myself, especially not the big ones, so I sympathise with Jack and Nosy.

Poor Jack and Nosy! Ianto didn't see the news then about a recent discovery of a ginormous, heretofore unknown variety of spider as big as a man's hand. The idiot scientist set off a furor for killing one just for scientific "knowledge". I'd be lobbing more than tables, chairs, etc at that thing and be on the table with Jack and Nosy! Between that one and the camel spiders my son told me about, I wanna be sure my trusty crossbolt is handy! (Usually if I see one, I tell it that Grandmother Spider is gonna get them if they don't leave! Grandmother Spider is a weaver in Native culture)

I'm not a fan of bis spiders *shudders* Found one in the kitchen sink one night, I swear it had a leg-span of four inches! Never seen a house spider that big.

Did they manage to get the spider? Lol. Nosy and Jack had better start cleaning but a angry Ianto is scarier then a spider any day.

The spider escaped. They weren't trying to catch it, they just wanted to get away from it. Jack and Nosy will have to tidy up, but if the spider returns, Ianto will catch it ;)

I was totally on Ianto's side, thinking Jack and nosy were way out of order to make so much mess.

Yeah, there were extenuating circumstances, big spiders are enough to make anyone take refuge out of the way. How Nosy got on the table, I don't know, lol!

I hate the big ones! Little ones are okay, but the big ones I really don't want to see. They get evicted. I don't like killing them though.
