Summary: Ryo gets more than he bargained for when he follows Dee back to his hotel room.

A/N: This one’s a double drabble.

Stretched out on his bed Dee’s staring moodily at nothing when Ryo slips into the room. He tries to explain what it is about Rose that gets on his nerves, but he can’t, at least not in a way anyone else would understand; he just plain doesn’t like the guy.

Dee can see by the look on his partner’s face that Ryo thinks he’s being immature, but he can’t help it. Even though Ryo says it’s okay for Dee to be that way, he gets the distinct feeling he’s being made fun of. Ryo’s just humoring him; if it were anyone else, Dee knows that would make him angry.

But then Ryo tells him to get some sleep, leans over and kisses him softy, and suddenly Dee doesn’t feel the slightest bit tired, or drunk, or hung over. The effects of his earlier drinking bout seem to have just evaporated and he feels amazing. Clearly there’s only one thing to do… So he pounces.

Ryo’s caught completely off-guard, which is nothing new. His protests fall on deaf ears; they’re alone and ever the optimist, Dee’s determined to wear down his baby’s resistance this time.

Predictably, that’s when they’re interrupted. Again!

Poor Ryo, whenever he wants to take just a little step towards Dee, he gets pounced! But then again, he should have expected it! xD

And yet, somehow he never does, he's always too slow to realise what's coming, lol! And most of the time, Ryo brings the pounces on himself. He knows Dee's a horndog, yet he still kisses Dee, saying he's just being friendly. Poor, naive Ryo, and poor Dee, forever getting mixed messages!

Dee only dislikes rose because they are so similar.
Ryo should have realised Dee would take that as an invitation to pounce :-)
But poor Dee does have bad luck!

Ryo never realises the consequences of his actions in advance, and anyway, he can't help himself. Even if he can't admit it yet, he's attracted to Dee and his affection for his partner is something he expresses with touches and kisses without even thinking about it. It's in those moments that he's at his most honest with both Dee and himself, but then he realises what he's done and freaks out again. He's just not ready for intimacy yet, though I think deep down he wants it.

Dee will never realise how similar he and Rose are. He can't see it - but Ryo eventually does, lol!
