Despite his hangover, Ianto remembered everything that happened the night before.

“Lisa, I’m so sorry about last night, I shouldn’t have done that, especially not right in front of you.”

Lisa smiled ruefully.

“It’s okay. You were drunk, you didn’t know what you were doing.”

Ianto shook his head.

“Wish I could blame it on the booze, but I knew exactly what I was doing. I love you, you know that, but I’m attracted to guys too. I’ve just never acted on it before. I shouldn’t have kissed him.”

“Probably not,” she grinned, “but it was seriously hot to watch!”

But I like this. And I like stories that talk about his bi-sexuality without making it seem like Jack was the first guy he's ever been attracted to.

I never bought that line in CoE about it being just Jack. It seems perfectly obvious that Ianto isn't uncomfortable about being attracted to men as well as women. It's simply a matter of being attracted to a person rather than a gender. Ianto's a very open-minded guy.

Hhhhmmm.... need a fan here for the heat! You always manage to challenge a reader think about a character when you write. Ianto always seemed so comfortable with Jack, especially so soon after the cyber incident so he had to walk that fence between both sexes; it just wasn't believable that he would fall for Jack so fast otherwise....

I agree, Ianto was obviously comfortable with his sexuality. The whole 'It's not men, it's just Jack' in CoE felt forced. Ianto is bisexual, or simply doesn't discriminate between genders. It's the only thing that makes sense.

Personally, although I like the idea to join "It's just him," I also think he already knew a little attracted to men.
I think he is very open and, as you say, full of surprises. He loves to surprise!


Then it has the effect "Jack". to share his side very confident, a little proud, but given his life he has a right, it's really an attractive guy.

I've never liked the 'Just him' idea, it annoys me. Ianto always seemed perfectly comfortable with his sexuality, it didn't seem like being attracted to a man was a new experience to him.
