Summary: Normally the Fluffs keep the kids out of trouble, but not this time…

A/N: For a Guest’s prompt ‘What about the fluffs with the kids? how much trouble could that be . . . .’

Stepping into the Hub after a retrieval mission, the team were confronted by chaos. Children and Fluffs were hurtling about, laughing, screaming, humming, knocking into things and sending them flying, adding to the mess they’d already created.

Tosh stood by her desk, wringing her hands helplessly.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry!” she wailed, “I was working on a new programme, they got into the cookies and ate the lot while I wasn’t paying attention!”

“Wonderful, now the little monsters are hyped on sugar! Just what we need,” grumbled Owen.

“Lighten up, Owen. One of those monsters is yours,” Ianto reminded him.

Cute but messy. I think having a kid has made Ianto a bit less OCD, he doesn't seem too worried. Messes can be cleared up.

hahhaahah I have suffered myself that when my daughter fed my two Golden Retrievers and herself a whole packet of sugar.
And one of the fluffs is theirs too!

Yep! Hyperactive kids and fluffs is a bit daunting, but they'll wear themselves out eventually. Then Ianto will enlist everyone else to help with the clean-up.

I think they might just have to let them wear themselves out, calming them down probably isn't an option. Maybe they can organise a safer, less disastrous way for them to burn off their energy. Some races of some sort.

Poor Tosh! Even the sweetest little angels can turn into little monsters when they're on a sugar high. They'll burn out, eventually.

Ianto definitely has become more tolerant of the messes. Of course, there's a big difference between little ones doing it having fun and adults being just plain lazy. *Yes, I'm looking at you, Owen!*

Indeed there is, and the little ones aren't really doing it deliberately, they've just got all this energy and they don't know what to do with it. Jack and Ianto will get everyone playing some kind of energetic game where they can do less harm until they wear themselves out. Maybe they'll get them all dancing. Then there will be a pile of tired Fluffs and kids falling asleep in the playroom.

Know this situation very well and the "crash" later when the sugar wears off can sometimes be spectacular...

Everything will suddenly go quite and there will be a heap of exhausted Fluffs and children in the middle of the floor, lol! In future, all cookies and sweets will be kept well out of reach in a locked cupboard and strictly rationed!
