A/N: Double drabble.
When the cogwheel door alarms went off at twenty after six in the morning, Jack came out of his office to see what was up. Ianto was usually the first to arrive, but he always came in through the garage entrance, after parking his car. Of the rest of the team, even Tosh didn’t usually get in this early.
Out in the main Hub, there was Ianto, in shorts, sweatshirt, and trainers, flushed, sweaty, windswept, and gorgeous.
“Ianto? Not that I’m not enjoying the view, but is there a reason for the new look?”
Catching his breath, hands on hips, Ianto looked up at his lover. “Left my car here last night, if you remember; we went back to mine in the SUV, then you left on that Rift alert. I was going to catch the bus, but it’s such a beautiful morning I decided I’d jog to work.” He held up the stopwatch. “Took me seventeen minutes and thirty-two seconds.” He added, sounding pleased with himself.
Jack’s smile widened. “So you’ll be wearing your shorts all day?”
“No, twpsyn! I’ll shower and change into my spare suit.”
“Oh.” Jack’s smile faded.
“But you can wash my back for me.”
