Summary: What used to be a daily pleasure back on earth is now a luxury.

A/N: Double drabble. Set in my Ghost of a Chance ‘Verse.
“Water! Real, wet water!” Ianto sighed with contentment, tipping his head back, luxuriating in the spray.
“I know! I’d almost forgotten what it feels like!” Jack agreed.
There was nothing wrong with sonic showers, they were excellent at cleaning off dust, and dirt, and sweat, and they were essential aboard a spaceship since even the Happy Wanderer, despite its size and its recycling facilities, couldn’t carry enough fresh water for all their needs on long hauls. Nevertheless, nothing beat taking a shower beneath a spray of hot water. Except maybe a long soak in a hot bath.
Their last trip had been a long one, two-and-a-half months of travelling between a series of space stations, all of which had limited water reserves. Like spaceships, space stations relied on sonics for all cleaning, leaving what water was available strictly for consumption, the growing of hydroponic crops, and the air purification systems, which utilised plant life. It was only now that they were planetside, staying in one of the more expensive hotels, that they got to indulge in the luxury of real showers.
Ianto slicked his wet hair back. “Tomorrow, after we get back from sightseeing, I’m going to have a bath.”
