Characters: Jack, Ianto, Owen.
Rating: PG
Written For: Challenge 688: Annoy at [livejournal.com profile] tw100.
Spoilers: Nada.
Summary: Maybe Owen shouldn’t have dismissed Jack and Ianto’s warning.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: Double drabble.

Jack and Ianto were looking tired and dishevelled when they returned to the Hub, carrying a live specimen containment box between them. They took it straight down to Owen’s domain, where the medic was waiting for them.

“What took you so long? Stopped off for a bit of fun on your way back, did you?”

“I wish,” Jack said, setting the box down gently on the table. “We had a bit of trouble capturing our friend here.”

“That’s the understatement of the decade,” Ianto muttered, tucking his shirt in, and straightening his tie. Not that it helped; Owen had never seen the immaculate Ianto Jones looking so rumpled.

Pulling the lid off the box, he looked inside. The creature was the size of a smallish cat, although with shorter legs, and a fatter body covered in luxuriant pink fur, making it resemble a powderpuff. Round blue eyes peered back at him.

“Whatever you do, Owen, don’t annoy it,” Jack warned.

Owen snorted. “Why? What’ll it do to me?”

He soon found out!

Staggering up from the autopsy bay, his white coat shredded, he confronted his colleagues. “Why didn’t you warn me?”

“We tried,” Ianto reminded him. “You didn’t believe us.”

The End

If Ianto was untidy Owen should have heeded the warning, that's a real red alert. Sometimes he shows no sense at all
