Rose clutched the parapet in front of her, feeling suddenly giddy. She’d grown up in a block of flats, was used to high places, had even been on the London Eye without any problems, but now she was higher than she’d ever been. This place dwarfed the tallest skyscraper on earth, according to the Doctor. Probably no human had ever been higher unless they were in some kind of aircraft.
She gritted her teeth and ignored the giddiness; the Doctor wouldn’t let her fall, and anyway, the view was too spectacular to miss, a whole world spread out before her.
